#yearahead2017 My card for August, 6 of Wands. I can't help but think this is the month where I get to do a little victory dance for all the work I did in getting First Light Mystic up and running. Starting a business took a lot more time and effort than I realized (and a huuuuge learning curve, because I'm stubborn and have to do everything myself). The other thing that popped into my mind when I saw this card is that now is really the time for women to rise up and reclaim our place as leaders in this world. Even though things often look bleak (politically at least), I'm sensing a slow shift to a way of thinking that encompasses the traits of the feminine archetypes: empathy, emotion, compassion, generosity, tenderness. When these energies become the norm, healing and peace inevitably follow. 💗 So whatever you're doing, and wherever you are right now, remember that power doesn't come from trampling over others to get what you want. Power lies in compassion for others, and the ability to see their beauty and humanity as well as your own.
