Seasoned Team Seeking Members
What is your (first) name and how old are you? Oh hey there, my name is JacQui and I’m the crazy team captain of Delightful Deviants. Our team currently has 8 wonderful members all over 18.
How many years have you/your teammates participated in GISHWHES? This is DD’s third year in the hunt but we have members that are on their fifth year.
What level of priority do you/your team assign GISHWHES? Delightful Deviants deems the hunt to be one of the highlights of our year, some members take off the entire week off, while others do continue to work/go to uni but dedicate 100% of their free time to the hunt and always put their all in.
What is your intended outcome of GISHWHES? To win! But it would also just be nice to get an item in the coffee table book and to create gorgeous art that will be immortalized on this internet for years to come while also bringing joy to all that encounter our antics.
Do you/your team have any specific skills/trades that might be especially useful to the hunt? We have artists, musicians, plenty of animals that are willing to participate and a lack of the embarrassment gene .
In a team, which do you prefer: 1) stability and leadership through an elected team captain 2) A team, likely with a team captain, in which all group members are engaged in the decision making process 3) Or, a team in which each member is equally responsible for every aspect of the hunt. No leader, laissez faire. We prefer a team with a captain but where all group members do get a say in the final product. It is important to us that everyone has an opinion. I just reel it in if there’s a disagreement.
Do you view familiarity with teammates a necessary aspect to a successful hunt? We like to get to know our team members, especially new ones, in the weeks prior to the hunt and that way all communication is very smooth and we have the most fun possible!
Do you regularly take control of projects in which you are assigned a team (are you a natural leader)? I am definitely a natural leader.
Are you easily disappointed and/or angered by imperfections? Only disappointed in my own, never others :)
Which mode of contact do you prefer if/when a team/member specifically suits your needs or is interested in meeting you? We can be contacted via an ask to our team tumblr and we also have an open google form application here.
Where are you located? Our members are located in Australia, Brazil, England and Germany. Our methods of photography range from phone photos to full lighting set ups with tripods and DSLR’s and the majority of the team drives their own cars :) Thank you, we hope a few people are interested in our little GISHWHES family <3
