I may be overthinking this but when I see the Undertale fandom’s double standards when comes to Chara being a special snowflake and Frisk and Kris are constantly ridiculed at every turn it kinda starts to feel borderline racist at times(I mean know they’re nationalities are kinda ambiguous but they’re clearly not white/caucasian like Chara) I noticed this trend in many fandoms recently where as long as a villain fit’s into the good looking white emo category they’re some sort of “troubled” baby
I have been waffling for days on how to answer this ask.
I’m not gonna say I haven’t seen that trope you’re talking about. I’m not gonna say I haven’t seen racism in fandoms. I’m not even gonna say I haven’t seen racism in Undertale’s fandom.
People see what they want to see in regards to the characters’ races. They are designed ambiguous. Sometimes people take that to ugly places, intentionally or not.
And those are places I simply do not want to tread, so I’m leaving the topic here.
So this is creepy.
