the questions stops robby in his tracks for a second. of everyone he sees in the ed, lucy has always struck him as so invulnerable. and of course he knows that that isn't the case– that lucy is just as fallible as anyone, that he has as much capacity to be hurt. still, robby is sure the surprise is clear on his face for at least a moment or two. 'i– yeah,' he finds himself saying, 'yeah, of course.' brows furrow as something uncomfortable sticks in his throat– because he doesn't like the idea of anything that could make her feel unsafe going home. 'is... is everything okay?'
