*I like Calder mobiles a lot better than I like Calder stabiles, but "Yellow Disk" from 1953 is pretty good. It even has a good title.
*Twenty years later, Calder became the go-to guy for huge steel public-art monuments that have to be bolted-up with cranes and hard-hats.

*Calder's mobile "Sumac" from 1962 sold last year for $12 million. I wonder if the new owner has boxed it, or hung it up.
