This week’s post focuses on setting up a PLN, or Personal Learning Network, for my school’s Internet Marketing degree program.
We have been tasked with setting up a few tools, in order to create this network, and I am going to give links to each one of these tools in order to create more of a presence in the internet marketing arena.
Papaly is a bookmark collection dashboard. The company offers a more visual approach to organizing bookmarks rather than putting bookmarking things on to a bookmark or menu bar in your browser. Here is my Papaly profile: James’ Papaly. I have set up 10 bookmarks to blogs I continually trace back to in order to keep up with the newest trends and strategies in the content marketing world.
The second item we were tasked with was to create a Feedly account and present a SS of our Feedly setup. I have been using Feedly for a few months now and already had an account setup. Here is a SS of my profile:
As you can see, I prefer to use the app version of the program, which has become easier for me to use and utilize.
The third task we were set to undertake was the creation of a logo, and thankfully my company logo will be perfect for this section, so here it is:
Yellow Hyena is a company I recently started to manage content marketing for foundations and charities I have a relationship with through my current job.
The fourth point in this assignment is to provide a link to my profile on the most used social media site for professionals, Linked In. Here is a link: James Hackett Linked In Profile.
While I have attending only 2 and a half weeks of classes for my degree, I am pursuing a further education in a field I am currently working in. The two of them working together is confirming the different ‘trial runs’ I have pursued with different management tools and sites used in the internet marketing field. While I am a tinkerer by nature, I am positive I will learn new tools and methods to hone my craft during my time at Full Sail working towards graduating with a Master’s degree in Internet Marketing.
I plan on using this blog every week to display different ideas, methods, and strategies I have learned during my year or so at Full Sail. I look forward to learning new things on a weekly basis, and hope to continue to become better at mastering my craft: Internet Marketing.
