Hi!!!! Can I suggest some soft Yenn/Reader? Maybe Yenn has some tangles in her hair so Reader (her gf or bff honestly don’t mind which!!) helps detangle them and braids her hair before they settle in for the night?
A/N: I’m so soft for Yenn :(
***
“Fucking hell!”
You lifted your head from the book in your hands to find Yennefer sitting at the vanity at the end of the bed.
“What’s the matter, darling?” You asked her.
“I’m just frustrated! Why can’t anything ever go right for me?” She pulled the brush through her thick hair once more and it became caught on a tangle. She ripped the brush out with a few more curses and all but threw it down onto the vanity.
You put the bookmark between the two pages you were reading and put the book down on the bed beside you. You slipped from the bed, quietly moving around the bed to get to the vanity.
“Darling, you need more patience.” You kissed the top of her head while you reached around her to grab the brush.
“What I need is for the gods damned universe to not be against me for one day!”
You said nothing and instead, you parted her hair into two sections.
She fell silent, allowing you to begin brushing her hair. You were gentle with her, careful to not pull any of her hair.
“Are you still upset about Ciri?”
The mage let out a heavy sigh.
“She’s still mad at me for not letting her go into town on her own.”
“Geralt told her no too.” You reminded her.
“But she thinks I made him say no.” Yennefer brought her hand up to rub her temple. “Why am I always the bad guy?”
“Ciri is young and she wants to grow. She doesn’t know that you tell her she needs someone with her is for her safety.” You carefully brought the brush through her hair again.
Yennefer was quiet and for a while, you didn’t think she’d bring up the subject again.
“What if she grows up and we aren’t as close as we are now?” She murmured quietly.
“Yenn, you know that won’t happen. She loves you dearly. She’s just…. She’s at that age where she thinks she doesn’t need you anymore, but that couldn’t be further from the truth.” You moved to put the brush down now that her hair was tangle free.
Yennefer turned her head to look at you, a little smile barely there on her red stained lips.
“When did you become so knowledgeable on children?”
“When the love of my life became a mother to a very stubborn and strong little girl.” You smiled back at her, giving her a little kiss on the lips. “Can I braid your hair before we lay down?”
She nodded softly.
“I know you were just frustrated earlier, darling.” You started, your fingers sliding through her dark hair. “But things do go right for you. Maybe not always, but you do have a good life.”
“I know.” She sighed. “I was just frustrated. I have plenty to be thankful for. My life has meaning. Ciri, Geralt…. Even Jaskier…. And you.”
Your eyes flickered up to catch hers in the mirror. You smiled a little more and your stomach fluttered.
“I’m thankful you’re so patient with me.” She told you. “I know I’m not the easiest to be around.”
“If I wanted easy, I would have settled down with the man my parents wanted me to marry.” You assured her. “I like the challenge you bring, no matter how difficult it is.”
She laughed softly.
You finished braiding her hair and tied the bottom of it.
“There. Are you ready for bed?”
She nodded, standing to her feet. She didn’t let you move too far away from her. Her fingers laced with yours and she leaned in to kiss you.
“I love you.”
“I love you.” You leaned against her for a moment, kissing her cheek. Your hand slipped around her waist, hand pressing flat to the small of her back. You pulled her in a little closer.
You stayed like that for a few moments, listening to her even breathing and enjoying her warmth.
Then she started to move, taking your hand from her back to hold. She tugged you towards the bed.
You smiled at her, giving her hand a little squeeze.
How lucky, you thought, to be able to call this woman yours.
Can I request a oneshot with yennefer and a fem reader who is a gay disaster (with a thing for sorceresses) and she uses this to full effect (to Geralt and Jaskier's amusement)

“Alright, Geralt, enough stalling, where is this famed beauty of a sorceress you promised me?” you asked, wiping away the traces of mead from your lips and fixing Geralt with a pointed look. He glowered over his cup at you before replying.
“She’ll be here in her own time,” he said.
“I’m surprised you trust me to meet her,” you said, “You know I have a way with the mages.”
“You have a taste for the mages, that’s not the same thing,” Jaskier corrected playfully. You stuck your tongue out at him and then a strange smell filled the air; lilacs and gooseberries.
“Ah, Yennefer,” Geralt said, “I’d like you to meet Y/N.”
You glanced up at her and your heart stopped. Her dark tresses flowed loosely over her shoulders ands he wore a black dress that was both simple and more elegant and expensive looking than anything you’d ever worn in your entire life. Her full mouth was quirked up in a serene smile and her eyes, those bewitching, violet eyes, glanced over you and then filled with bemusement. It was then that you realized you still had your tongue sticking out and quickly pulled it into your suddenly dry mouth.
“Y/N, the healer Geralt has told me so much about,” Yennefer said. The sound of your name crossing her lips was like a caress and you wondered if you’d ever hear your name the same way again.
“Yennefer of Vengerberg,” you said a little breathlessly before clearing your throat and trying to get control of your senses, “It is so wonderful to finally meet you. Geralt has told me so much already.”
“All lies, I assure you,” she said with a smile, moving to take a seat next to you. Her skirt swept against your leg and your heart skipped a beat.
“No,” you insisted, “No he was actually very, very accurate. I just thought he was exaggerating.”
“About what?” she asked. You felt the seconds tick by as you tried to decide what to say and if you had the courage to follow the original thought. You glanced at Geralt and Jaskier and found them both watching you with matching amused expressions and you cursed them silently.
“Your beauty,” you forced out, blurting it clumsily instead of whispering it sweetly into her ear as she deserved, as you had done dozens of times with other women. This was no ordinary woman, though.
“Well he never mentioned that you were so very…” her voice trailed off as she looked at you and you waited with your heart in your throat for her to finish her thought. Her eyes caressed your face and form and you felt yourself grow warm and wet and flustered.
“Adorable,” she finished. You deflated a little, you weren’t cute, you were sexy and brilliant and charming. Or at least that was how you usually came across. You didn’t know what the hell you were right now.
“I’m going to get a drink,” Yennefer said, rising again, “Can I get anyone else something?”
She looked at you as she said it but your tongue was suddenly heavy and thick and you struggled to make it work. Geralt waved away and Jaskier requested an ale.
“Just the wine, then,” she said, shooting Jaskier a teasing smile. He rolled his eyes and turned his attention back to you.
“You feeling alright, Y/N?” he asked.
“Yes, why?” you asked, your eyes on Yennefer’s retreating back.
“You just seem a little… flushed,” Jaskier said. You watched a Yennefer spoke to the barkeep and then she looked back at you and you emitted a slight, barely audible whimper as she smiled at you with heavy lidded eyes. You were aware of Jaskier chuckling and even the rarely heard, deep rumbling of Geralt’s laughter, but you only had enough mastery over your senses to watch as Yennefer returned again bearing three cups. She carelessly nudged one to Jaskier and then handed one to you. Your fingers brushed against hers and you nearly dropped the cup at the contact.
As the night went on and you drank more wine you felt yourself relaxing a bit, able to talk with her like a human though your eyes still followed her every movement with a gaze that was a bit intense. You forgot about Jaskier and Geralt, absorbed by Yennefer’s presence. She spent most of her time talking with you as well, asking you about your work and the innovations you’d created to aid with healing. You had an especially passionate conversation about magic in healing and you didn’t notice when Geralt and Jaskier left though at some point it was just the two of you in a nearly empty tavern.
“Geralt and I have a bet,” Yennefer said.
“Oh?” you asked, as though this was the most fascinating thing you’d ever heard.
“Yes. He bet me that I could have you in my bed by the end of the night,” she said, leaning in close to whisper it to you. You wondered if she could hear the pounding in your heart and you tried to nod casually as you said,
“Oh?”
“Yes.”
“And what – uh – what was your bet?” you asked, praying she hadn’t wagered anything too significant because he was absolutely going to win this one.
“I bet him that we wouldn’t make it to the room,” she said, her hand trailing up your thigh under the table. “I bet him that before we even left this tavern, I could get a kiss.”
Your eyes rose to meet hers, pausing at her mouth on its way.
“Well that is… an… interesting wager,” you said, clearing your throat and licking your lips as he moved in a bit closer again.
“Mm I thought so. But in the end it all comes down to you. Who will win this wager, do you think?” she asked, her mouth a breath away from yours. In some miracle you were able to gather every single one of your brain cells to look into her lovely, violet eyes and reply in a husky whisper that caressed her lips.
“You strike me as a woman who doesn’t make bets she can’t win, Yennefer of Vengerberg. And lucky for you, I am not a woman to deny herself what she wants out of some supposed loyalty to a friend foolish enough to challenge you to one.”
oooh i have a yennifer idea??? maybe her gf stumbles across some things/ingredients that, while not rare or uncommon, yennifer just can’t find anywhere so gf picks some of it up for yenn, bc she’s a good gf and yenn just gives her a big smooch?
You moved through the keep, holding the strap to your satchel tightly. You were eager to get to Yennefer. It had been so long since you saw her last.
You didn't expect to find everyone in the dining room.
Geralt appeared to be teaching Ciri how to play Gwent. Lambert and Vesemir were bickering over what looked like a burnt boar. Eskel and Yennefer were chatting quietly at their own table.
“Y/N!” Ciri shot up from her chair at the sight of you. She ran to give you a hug, plowing into you as hard as she could. You had to take a step back so you wouldn't fall.
“Hi, Ciri.” You hugged her tightly, rubbing her back. “You've grown! Soon you're going to be taller than me!”
“That isn't hard to do.” Lambert snorted. “You're short.”
“It's good to see you too, Lambert.”
“How was the Path?” Ciri asked you. “Did you fight any interesting monsters?”
“Let Y/N get settled down before you start your interrogation, Cirilla.” Vesemir told her.
You sent him a thankful look and then turned your attention to Yennefer. She was sitting forward in her seat, eyes on you.
“I have something for you, darling.” You told her, reaching into your satchel as you crossed the room.
“I don't get a hug first? Or a kiss?” She teased, raising her brows.
“Oh I just thought you'd be eager to know what creatures I came across, what alchemical things I've procured for you.” You hugged her tightly with one arm, the other still reaching down for your satchel. “I missed you, Yenn.”
“I missed you too.” She squeezed you and kissed your cheek. “Now, what have you got for me?”
“Well, actually I have gifts for everyone.” You said, turning back to face the witchers and Ciri. “For Lambert, I have a few books from Novigrad, Beauclair, and Lyria. To expand your cooking skills.”
Lambert perked up and hurried to get them from you. There were three books tied together with a black strap. He took the books and went to sit down at the end of the table.
“What did you get me!” Ciri asked excitedly.
“A dagger forged from the fire of a dragon.” You pulled the dagger out and presented it to her. The sheath was made of black leather. The hilt of the dagger was gold with a green gem embedded where the sword met.
“Won it in a game of Gwent.” You grinned. “For you, Vesemir, a stack of books from Oxenfurt. They contain histories of the North.”
He took the four books and hummed as he read the titles.
“Don't think I've read these before.”
“For Geralt, I have a letter from Jaskier.” You pulled out a rolled up piece of parchment. “He’s got quite the establishment in Novigrad. Seems rather excited for you to see it.”
Geralt smiled, taking the parchment from you.
“And Eskel, my dear friend.” You turned to the dark haired witcher. “In Toussaint, I helped a wine merchant clear his cellar of a kikimora nest. In return, he gifted me two bottles of wine. I forgot the names of them and they're written in a language I can't read.” You passed him the two bottles. “I figured you'd enjoy them.”
“No fair! He gets alcohol and I get books!” Lambert groaned.
“Next time, Lambert.” Eskel chuckled.
You turned to face Yennefer. She was being patient, which usually wasn’t a trait of hers.
“And for you, my love, the blood of a spotted wight as well as its teeth.”
“Spotted wight?” Vesemir repeated. “Nonsense. They've been gone for ages.”
“Found one living in a cave in Nazair.” You told him. “Put up one hell of a fight. Gave me a few new scars, but it was a glorious battle.”
“The things I could do with this.” Yennefer thought out loud, smiling as she looked down at the vial of crimson liquid. She pulled you in for another hug and kissed you.
“Thought you'd like it.” You grinned, happy and content that everyone liked their gifts.
A/N: Needed some soft Yennefer because I love her.

Thunder rumbled in the clouds above the mountains that rested behind the witcher, the mage, the bard, and the source. Cirilla jumped at the clap of thunder. Yennefer, who rested on the same horse as her, offered a comforting hand to Ciri’s side. The young ashen haired girl was nearly falling asleep, struggling to keep her eyes open.
“I’m tired.” Ciri rubbed her eyes and leaned back into Yennefer, who gladly provided support.
“We are almost there.” She assured Ciri, kissing the top of her head.
“You said that an hour ago.” Jaskier muttered. His horse was just behind Yennefer and Ciri’s. Yennfer shot him a brief glare over her shoulder. Her violet eyes flickered back to Geralt. The witcher carried up the rear.
“We are nearly there.”
The White Wolf nodded once but said nothing.
“You’ve never actually told us where it is we are going.” Ciri said.
“Somewhere safe that we can rest.” Yennefer answered softly. “A trusted friend that can offer us shelter.”
“Huh. I didn’t think you had any friends.” Jaskier stated, nearly chuckling at himself.
Yennefer chose to ignore him.
The path began to grow more and more narrow. The trees provided a thick, dense canopy, hiding the forest floor from the dwindling light given by the evening sun. The darkness gave everyone an uneasy feeling. Geralt kept his eyes peeled and listened carefully to ever little sound, wanting to know if there was anything dangerous lurking in the woods.
As the forest came to an end, a little hilltop meadow came into view. At the base of the hill was a wooden gate attached to a fence. The fence disappeared in a thick bush on one side and traveled around the hill on the other side.
Using her magic, Yennefer pulled the gate open without getting off of her horse. Just as she was closing the gate behind Geralt, a dark brown donkey with white legs made itself known, braying and its ears pressed flat to its skull.
“Easy, Gus.” Yennefer put her hand up, ushering a wave of serenity to the animal.
Once Gus was calm, Yennefer continued up the path surrounded by undergrowth and bushes.
Around the little hill was a stone cottage. Lavender hydrangea bushes rested in the flower bed just outside of the house. Pink and purple bougainvilleas covered one side of the cottage and green ivy littered the roof.
You were underneath the tree near the house with a book in hand and a lamb across your lap. A calf rested next to you, resting its head on your thigh. When they heard Gus’s alarm, they lifted their heads up.
The lamb bleated and hurried to greet the uninvited guest. The calf was slower to get up but followed its friend. You remained under the tree, smoothing out your skirt as you looked at the group.
When you realized it was Yennefer, you were on your feet and running to her. The book that had once been in your hand was left in the grass. Excitement and happiness filled your veins at the sight of the mage.
You collided into her with such force that she nearly fell backwards. She had to step back to keep from falling to the ground. Your arms wrapped around her neck and your lips met hers. She tasted just as sweet and intoxicating as you remembered.
Her arms slipped around your waist, holding you close to her. She pulled away first, smiling at you. You couldn’t help getting lost in her violet gaze.
“I hope you don’t mind that I’ve brought a few guests.”
The mage’s words reminded you that the two of you weren’t alone. Your arms retracted from her and you stepped back to look at who all she had brought. You immediately recognized Geralt of Rivia, the White Wolf, from not only the ballads but also from what Yennefer told you. Cirilla was easy to recognize too with her ashen hair and bright blue eyes. That left the brunet man to be Jaskier, the bard.
“Where are my manners?” You laughed softly, brushing your hair behind your ears. “You look like you’ve been traveling for ages. I’ve got warm soup and extra beds. Let’s go put the horses in the stable around back.”
“How did you know I’d be coming with them?” Yennefer asked as she began to lead her horse with Ciri still on top of it.
“I didn’t.” You looked over to her. “I had enough ingredients so I made extra and I was going to take it into town to give to the beggars in town.”
Yennefer’s chest tightened at your words. You were a soul too pure for her. She was unworthy of your kindness and generosity.
She reached up to brush her fingers over your hair, smiling gently at you.
“Am I the only one who did not see that coming?” Jaskier whispered to Geralt. The witcher glanced at him but said nothing, following silently behind Yennefer.

Once the horses were in stables and had been given chunks of hay for the night, you ushered everyone into the house, making sure that they washed their hands at the well just outside of your home.
You went inside ahead of everyone else and began to slice a fresh loaf of bread just pulled from the stone oven.
“I’m terribly sorry. Yennefer is such a rude person.” Jaskier swatted his hand in Yennefer’s direction. “She didn’t properly introduce us. I’m Jaskier, this lovely lady is Ciri, and that’s Geralt.”
“I know who you all are.” You told Jaskier, moving to gather enough bowls for everyone. “Geralt is easy to tell because of the ballads - your ballads. And Yennefer has mentioned Cirilla quite a few times.”
“She’s never mentioned you.” Ciri frowned, brows drawing together.
You placed a bowl of hot soup down in front of her, offering her a gentle smile.
“Yen doesn’t tell anyone about me.” You glanced over to the mage who stood at the end of the table, refusing to sit. You winked at her, letting her know you were just messing with her. “She prefers to keep me a secret.”
“If you tell the world of the fortune you managed to stumble upon, then everyone will rush to steal it from you.” She said, tapping her fingertips against the table.
You could sense something was wrong with her. Something bothered her. She was tense.
You finished dipping out bowls for the two men and wiped your hands on your skirt, your eyes finding Yennefer.
“Don’t mind us.” You told the three at the table, giving them little smiles. “We just have to step outside for a moment. Do help yourself to bread and more soup. There’s plenty to go around.”
You moved past Yennefer, hooking your hand around her arm and tugging her outside. The door to the cottage closed behind her.
“What’s wrong?” You asked her, brows drawing together as you tilted your head to the side a little.
She said nothing at first, violet eyes flickered over the path in front of your home.
“I didn’t want to bring them here.” She admitted quietly, her eyes searching your face but never meeting your eyes. “I would’ve much rather teleported them here, but I’m exhausted and tired and it’s-it’s been such a long day-,”
“Hey.” You cut her off, placing your hand on her arm. “It’s okay that you’ve brought them here. You all needed somewhere to stay, somewhere safe. I’m glad you’ve come home.”
You embraced her in a warm hug, one much gentler than your previous one.
“I just don’t like to risk your safety.”
“I don’t mind providing somewhere for them to go.” You pulled your head back so that you could look into her eyes. “They’re your family. Wherever you are welcomed, so are they.”
Yennefer brought her hand up to trace your jaw with her fingertips.
“What did I ever do to deserve you?”
“You deserve everything.” You pressed a chaste kiss to her lips. “Now come. You need to eat something.”
***
You had just finished giving Ciri enough blankets for the night. She’d be staying on an extra bed in the floor of your room. Jaskier and Geralt would be sleeping in the main room by the fireplace. You had enough blankets for them but the hearth would surely aid in keeping them warm.
Jaskier was sitting on a stool by the fire, quietly playing a song and messing with lyrics. Yennefer was in with Ciri, talking quietly to the young girl.
Geralt sat alone at the kitchen table, staring at his hands.
You moved to sit across from him. He looked up at you and sat straighter. You smiled a little at him.
“I just…. I know how you and Yennefer met.” You told him, keeping your voice low so that only he could hear. “And I want to thank you for saving her.”
“What has she told you?” His voice was deep and gravelly. He didn’t speak much throughout the evening.
“Everything.” You admitted. You turned your head to look down the hallway that your room was down. “Of her destiny…. Of yours…. And of Cirilla’s.”
You did your best not to feel upset about it. You knew the wish Geralt made wasn’t in Yennefer’s control. Her fate was stuck to his forever, sealed after the first time they met. Cirilla’s fate was intertwined with theirs being that she was Geralt’s child surprise. Yennefer thought of her as her own daughter and it warmed your heart to see your mage act to gentle and sweet with her.
“Thank you for saving her.” You looked to Geralt, meeting his gaze. “If there is anything ever that you need, you can come to me. I’m a stranger to your world, to Yennefer’s world, sure. But I can offer a warm bed and fresh food. Somewhere safe should you ever need it.”
Geralt nodded once, a silent thank you to your words.
“Please enlighten me, Y/N.” Jaskier quit playing his lute as he spoke. “How did such a sweet woman like you end up with a hellbeast like Yennefer of Vengerberg?”
Your eyes flickered over to the mage as she closed the door to your room behind herself.
“My mother is an herbalist from Vizima. Yennefer came to her shop in search of an herb. I took one look at her and decided that I wanted her.” You smiled gently.
She held your gaze but said nothing.
“Of course, she didn’t pay any attention to me at first.” You leaned back, motioning for her to sit next to you. She hesitated before doing so. You placed your hand on her knee, offering her comfort. “But eventually, I managed to catch her attention.”
“When you nearly set yourself on fire.” Yennefer sighed.
“It was an accident though.”
***
After a few hours, you and Yennefer retired to your room. You clambered into the bed, settling beneath fine furs and quilts. Yennefer only settled for the best of everything.
“Will you let me braid your hair?” You asked her as she began to get into the bed. She nodded softly and went around to your side of the bed. She climbed up to rest between your legs.
Minutes passed as the two of you enjoyed the peace and quiet. Your fingers were delicate with her thick dark hair.
“Thank you.” She murmured softly, glancing over her shoulder so she could steal a look at you. “For welcoming them the way you did.”
“No need to thank me, love.” You kissed her forehead. “You are all I need as a thanks. Now turn around so I don’t make this crooked.”

You couldn’t look away from her, deep pools of mulberry enticing you to lose yourself in her gaze. She was extraordinary, the most exquisite being you’d ever laid eyes upon. And here she was, in your bed, beneath your blankets, and smiling softly at you.
The both of you were crowded in the center of the bed facing each other with her knee between your thighs. One of her hands was tucked beneath the pillow her head rested on. Your arm was folded underneath your head while your opposite hand rested on the very little space of the bed separating you.
A thin layer of sweat coated both of you. Your heart was still racing from the events of earlier. You were basking in the afterglow, your veins buzzing with pleasure and happiness.
“I could lay here for a thousand years without ever needing anything else.” You murmured to her, trailing your fingertips from her soft lips down the front of her neck.
Her hand took yours away from her neck so she could kiss your fingertips.
Your eyes caught sight of those scars on the inside of her wrist. Your fingers carefully wrapped around her wrist and you tugged, urging her to let you control her arm. You kissed the inside of her wrist, brows furrowing together softly at the sight of her scars.
“I wish I could’ve met you earlier.” You breathed against her wrist, eyes closing tightly at the thought of all the pain she endured in her early years.
“You wouldn’t be here right now if you saw what I was before this.” She whispered, pulling her hand away from you. She removed herself from the bed completely, retreating and closing ranks within herself. She often did this when things between you two became too intimate, when the voice in the back of her head screamed at her, telling her that she wasn’t worthy of your love, of your attention.
“You don’t know that.” You sat up in the bed, holding the linens to your chest.
“Like hell I do.” She snapped, standing from the bed and turning to face you. “Everyone is the same. They’re drawn to my beauty. They only cared about me once I looked like this. When I had a crooked spine, no one gave a damn about what happened to me!”
The fire in the hearth grew with Yennefer’s voice. Your lips parted as you looked to the fireplace for a moment, afraid the flames would spill out into the room.
“That isn’t fair, Yennefer. We never met then.” You looked at her. “You don’t know how I would have treated you had we known each other then.”
She shook her head and picked up her silk robe from its place on the floor.
“Yennefer, love, don’t-,”
“I need to leave before I hurt you.” Her words came out quick as she wrapped the robe around herself and left the room.
You brought your hands up to cover your face. You took a few deep breaths to calm yourself before following her.
You tugged on a shirt that was a few sizes too large for you and padded out into the main room of your house. She was sitting at the kitchen table, her hands clasped together on the wood and her eyes set on the front door.
“Love?”
Hearing the soft pet name come from your lips made Yennefer look in your direction.
“It’s awfully cold out here.” You shivered and rubbed your hands together. “Please come back to bed.”
Her eyes lingered on you before she looked away.
“I can’t stay much longer.” Her words tore at your heart. “I should’ve left a long time ago.”
“Don’t.” You shook your head, moving towards her. You got down on your knees in front of her, situating yourself between her knees. “I am begging you, Yennefer. Don’t go.”
She looked down at you with her brows drawn together just slightly. Tears blurred your vision as you looked up at her.
“Why do you care if I leave?” She asked quietly, her hand coming out to cup your cheek. Her thumb brushed a tear from your cheekbone.
“Because I need you.” You leaned into her touch, your eyes closing softly. “I love you more than I could ever tell you.”
“You shouldn’t love a broken thing like me.”
You opened your eyes as you looked at her, shaking your head again.
“You aren’t broken, my love.”
She gazed down at you like she almost pitied you. The poor soul who fell in love with her, with a mage who wouldn’t be able to give her the life she deserved.
“You’re too strong to break.” You leaned in to kiss her cheek. “But even if you were, I don’t care. My mother, she taught me to care for things that were broken. To put them back together so that they are whole again.”
Your lips brushed across hers before you pulled back enough to see her eyes.
“So even if you don’t believe me, if you truly believe you are broken…. Then let me make you whole again.”
A little smile tugged at her red stained lips. Her lipstick was smudged and her ebony waves were messy but you didn’t mind.
“You’re too good for me.” She leaned forward to kiss your forehead. Your eyes fluttered shut as shivers traveled down your spine. You smiled at the feeling of her warm lips on you.
“Come back to bed. Please?” You looked at her, taking your bottom lip between your teeth.
Yennefer stood up, her hand brushing over the back of your head. You looked up at her, your heart fluttering at the sight of the mage now towering over you.
“That sounds lovely.” She pulled you to your feet and slipped her arm around your waist, kissing your lips before she started to move towards the bedroom.
You were stuck in place for a moment, your feet frozen to the floor as you watched the woman you loved saunter back to your bedroom. She let the robe fall off of her shoulders just as she was almost around the corner. She turned to look over her shoulder at you, giving you a cheeky smile.
You giggled softly and followed after her.
Note: I don’t technically have a Yennefer taglist yet so let me know if you want to be on it. a/n: I went in a slightly different direction but I would dearly love for someone to circle around me like a dragon guarding its hoard and make everything bad fuck off for a bit and that overtook the story. Thank you for the prompt! Also there may be a cameo from a certain troubadour. xo
Wolves.
That’s what they reminded you of as you stood in front of them, practically cowering away to blend into the tapestries that decorated the main hall. They weren’t doing anything egregious, just embracing the gaiety around them. But you knew it was only a matter of time before someone finally approached. Most had been giving you curious glances all night, intrigued by the unknown woman who had walked in on Yennefer’s arm. But now Yennefer was off doing whatever she needed to do, you didn’t pry, and you were thrown to their mercy.
You rolled your eyes at your own dramatics and took another sip of wine, the goblet clutched like a lifeline as a man finally broke from the crowd and approached you. He was tall and lithe, with curly dark hair that bounced slightly as he walked and the most wicked emerald green eyes you’d ever seen. And those eyes were focused intently on you.
“My lady, you must do me a kindness,” he began, his accent charming and genial.
“Oh?” you asked cautiously but not unkindly.
“Indeed,” he insisted, “For I find myself in a strange position. I pride myself on knowing all of the people worth knowing and yet you have somehow escaped my attention. Not, I see, the attention of another mysterious being.”
You smiled placidly, fully aware of the question he begged with his quirked brow and the way he lowered his voice and moved in closer to whisper conspiratorially.
“Tell me, fair maiden, from what tower did the mage steal you and how may I steal you from her in turn?”
His words, brushing against the shell of your ear, would have turned many a lady’s head, but you were used to his kind. A peasant didn’t survive long without learning about the ways of the nobility, even if this one was a musician by trade as evidenced by the lute on his back. You bristled slightly, both defensive because of his insinuation of nobility (then again, that was why you were dressed in such finery, to portray that very façade) and the audacity of suggesting anyone could pull you from Yennefer’s side. You opened your mouth to reply but felt an arm snake around your waist, pulling you tightly against a familiar form that you gladly sank into. Yennefer’s cool, violet eyes met the troubador’s but instead of looking cowed they only twinkled more.
“Sweet lady Yennefer,” he said with a sweeping bow that she barely flitted a downward glance at, “I do confess you find me in the midst of a devious scheme to steal this sweet morsel.”
Yennefer smiled, an unpleasant, dangerous smile that sent a thrill up your spine. Her gaze was almost predatory and you felt her fingers dig into your side like claws and you sunk farther in, happily helpless in her clutches as she shot a fierce look.
“She is more than you could handle,” she said, sweet words tinged with a sharp threat. You knew people were staring but you could hardly blame them. She was magnificent, long dark hair and flashing violet eyes and an aura of utter control like none you’d ever known could wield. Contained. Fierce. Yours.
Finally the man relented, offering his hands up in surrender. He hazarded a quick touch of your hand to bow once more to you and then a parting one to the mage before turning and walking back towards the crowd to offer his report, though they had all heard you plainly in the tense silence.
Slowly the murmur returned and the music grew loud again and the din overtook the room as if nothing had ever happened. But her embrace never slackened and when she looked down at you her eyes softened.
“Have you eaten?” she asked.
“Not yet,” you replied.
“Jaskier performed here once. He spoke of the cheese in particular. Shall we?”
She relaxed her grip and you missed her closeness as she moved apart, holding out her arm in offer. You eagerly slid yours through it, closing the distance again, rewarded by a soft smile that lit up her face. As you walked together towards the tables your head rose in pride and you looked every bit the noblewoman you pretended to be.
omg omg omg please can you write anything about yen? i literally love how you write for her, and also there’s barely any fanfics of her so please !! 🥺👉👈

a/n: First of all, god bless and keep you and thank you for your sweet words. Also, this could not be more clearly a part one and I’m not sure what exactly that part two will be but it’ll happen sometime.
She hummed a quiet tune as she stroked your hair, alternating between the comb and her fingers. You were cradled against her chest, sitting between her legs, eyes closed as you enjoyed the scent of lilacs and gooseberries and the tiny kisses she pressed against your cheek. If anyone at the academy had walked in on you, they would have been stunned. The stoic professor and the haughty mage were usually embroiled in conflict or at best cool disdain when forced to be around each other on campus. Few knew that it was a ruse you’d concocted together to maintain your privacy. And, you both secretly felt, because it made your evenings together all the more exciting.
There were times the ruse grew hard to keep up. More than once you’d walked in to find her perched by the windowsill, long dark tresses falling over her shoulders and a soft smile on her face as she gazed outside. The violet eyes, already calm and happy, would grow even softer and even happier in the flitting moment she saw you before she recalled her role. More than once she’d walked into the library and found you, chin propped up on your elbows, a quill stuck I your hair and ink spots on your fingers and she would feel a tightening in her chest that she could only call love. You would look up at her, one of the few people or things that could steal away your attention when you were working, and your eyes would widen and she could nearly hear your heart skip a beat from across the room. And then you would sneer and huff, even if there was no one else around, just in case.
Sometimes your playing became more charged than either of you anticipated, blurring the lines between acting and foreplay as you traded barbs and your words grew vehement, bitten out in low growls that reminded each other of nights tangled up together with just as much passion.
But your favorite moments, perhaps, were these.
The soft moments before or after the displays of rage or act of lust. The times when she would hold you and sing to you and make you feel like something treasured and whole. She would wrap her body around you like a dragon guarding its horde and you felt a sense of safety that you never felt anywhere else in your life with anyone else.
“Someday,” she whispered in your ear, “You will be mine in a way that no one can protest. Someday I will sneak in and steal you away. None of them deserve you. Nobody does. But nobody would try harder to than me and that is why I will win you yet.”
“You’ve already won me,” you laughed, turning your head to meet her violet eyes, “The very instant you say the word I will stand on the tallest structure around me and scream as loud as I can that I am yours.”
“I do like it when you scream,” Yennefer purred, pressing a kiss against your throat and feeling your pulse quicken beneath her lips.
“I’m serious,” you said, using all of your willpower to still her hand that snaked between your legs, “What would happen if we did?”
Yennefer’s eyes grew solemn, the smile falling from her lips as a pained expression crossed her features. Your heart pounded with a new sensation; anger.
“What is it?” you asked breathlessly.
“There are people who would pay very dearly to find a weakness to exploit,” the mage said.
“Who?” you asked, rage thundering in your chest at the very thought that someone would make her fearful or try and make what you had something you had to hide. It was one thing when it was a fun ruse and a convenient way to prevent gossip; it was another to be told you couldn’t speak of it. That you couldn’t really claim her for your own.
“People it is better not to speak of. And frankly so many I can hardly keep track anymore. I am not a well-liked woman,” Yennefer said with a rueful smile.
“Are you in danger?” you asked, suddenly realizing how little you knew about the mage who had walked into the school and changed your life forever. You had fallen with dizzying speed, foregoing your usual questions and concerns, and now you feared what you may find out. Yet at the heart of it, you knew it wouldn’t change a thing. She gently brushed a lock of hair out of your face, watching her fingers as they ever so lightly grazed against your skin.
“Only as much as anyone else who tries to raise above their station,” she replied enigmatically, “But let’s not talk on that tonight. Tonight I just want to hold you.”
You had so many questions and so much to say but her eyes pleaded for acquiescence and you nodded with a little smile that didn’t reach your eyes. She pulled you back against her and stretched out on the fur rug you sat on and she wrapped you up in her arms tight, tighter than she ever had before. You could feel the tension and fear and frustration but at the core of it was love and concern and the wisdom to know that now was not the time to search for answers. You let her hold you and you hummed a soft song until you both fell into a restless sleep.
Hi hi hi! First off, congrats on 500 followers! You definitely deserve all of them. Secondly.... I am a total slut for gay mess reader and Yen. I like the idea of reader being a princess or other nobility in a place that Yen is the mage at, and then they fall in love. Maybe some secret rendezvous and then them running away and/or Yen protecting reader? I am so soft for Yen and I love her too much. Your writing is amazing, as always!!! 💕 (Also, this can be fluff, or smut, or anything in between)

a/n: This is such a lovely prompt – thank you! xo
It grew through little moments; shared whispers and stolen time.
You’d been irritated when your parents told you that they’d hired you a bodyguard. You weren’t a child and even when you had been on you were always cautious. You treasured the little privacy you had and having someone there to watch you would steal away those precious moments. Then Yennefer of Vengerberg walked through the door and your heart stilled. Three words popped into your head the moment her violet eyes met yours, sweeping up to gaze at you through thick lashes; There you are. There was no awkwardness with the mage, just a natural, easy companionship. You asked her to call you by your name and she refused, but the way she said “your ladyship” felt like a fond endearment instead of an inherited title. You went from fearing a lack of privacy to eagerly including her in your time away from your courtly duties. You would take long walks through the garden, noting how no bloom within it could compare to her beauty which made her scoff but you saw the faint blush that crept over her cheeks at the words. When she found you, hands balled into fists at your side and hot, angry tears in your eyes the day your parents announced they had betrothed you, you’d feared she would quietly assent. That she would slip into cool professionalism instead of the soft, growing intimacy you’d been developing over the months and she would be just another sacrifice in the name of the monarchy. Instead she’d held you close, stroking your hair and pressing her soft, full lips against your forehead before tilting your head up to meet her gaze.
“I won’t let them take you,” she said, whispering the words with an intensity that made your heart skip a beat and a fierce courage take hold of you as you bridge the distant between you to press your lips against hers. She deepened the kiss with a sigh and you yielded to her, body following where your heart had gone so long ago. And then you began to plan.
You were not well suited to most parts of being royalty but you were an excellent strategist. You devised a plan with Yennefer, and then you devised a backup, and then another backup, and then a final option that you hoped desperately you wouldn’t have to resort to but you knew you would. You would do anything to maintain your freedom, and the woman you loved.
It started, as most things did, with an attempt at negotiation. You provided your parents with examples of female rulers who had done well without a king. These were all rejected out of hand and you moved onto the next one. You tried stalling, asking that you be allowed to choose your own husband but they denied this as well. You rose from the table, Yennefer standing behind you as she always did, and you fixed your parents with a steely, but regretful, gaze.
“I will not do this,” you said, enunciating the words clearly so they couldn’t say that they didn’t know the consequences, “If you try to force me into this marriage, I will abdicate the throne.”
This was dismissed immediately as well, going so far as to laugh at the idea. You withstood their laughter and when they finally finished you bowed and left the room.
“This mage we’ve provided for you works for us first,” your father called to your retreating back, “A bodyguard can restrain as ably as it can protect.”
You fought back a smile at their words. They had no idea how wrong they were. They thought they’d found a weapon to wield for their own purposes but she was nobody’s tool. She was nobody’s at all, save for you, and as you lay in bed together you wondered how you’d been so lucky. How anyone could be worthy of her, unaware that she felt the same as she used her hands and mouth and every part you grasped at to express her love for you.
Sneaking out of the castle was exceptionally easy, though you suspected Yennefer had been doing some reconnaissance as you got some rest. You packed a few small thing but left the rest. The gowns, the jewelry, the trappings of the gilded cage you’d been raised in, all left behind without a single glance back as Yennefer helped you out the window. You scaled the castle walls, fierce determination making you braver than you ever would have been, as well as Yennefer’s presence, encouraging and guiding and protecting you the whole way. It was like walking in the gardens, the hushed tones and soundless steps. You held hands as you walked though you saw her hold one of hers at the ready in case someone spotted you. Nobody did but you kept your head down and stayed cautious until you boarded the early morning trawler that would take you away.
“Well, your ladyship, where shall we go now?” Yennefer asked as you sat watching the land grow smaller in the distance, the sun coming up and painting the sky in brilliant hues. Still nowhere near as brilliant as the woman next to you, and only half as lovely.
“Where the wind takes us,” you intoned softly. She laughed and pressed a kiss to your temple.
“Truly, though, we will need to chart a course,” she said.
“I know but just… let’s just have this,” you asked, and she was the last person to ever deny you. You huddled together, the salty sea air whipping across your faces as you shared whispers with the peace of knowing you had all the time in the world.
