(The shame I feel is great as I request this, but your writing is so frighteningly satisfying that my inner fangirl would've fired a gun at me if I didn't take this chance) Perhaps Johannes' thoughts in chapter 11 (Death and the Maiden) during his, ahem, greatly appreciated performance on Leonie?

Oh, man, how I want to do this, (especially after such lovely flattery), but there are certain issues.  It took me *forever* to write that chapter, and there’s a reason I avoided Johannes’ POV for that part: not only was Leonie’s perspective also a rich one emotionally, Cabal’s was harder to write. For the record, I took a couple of stabs at writing a scrap of it, just to thank you for the prompt, but it didn’t hang together.  I’ll keep it in the back of my head, OK?
