“You’re not supposed to be here.” Ivy’s voice was more of a growl, green eyes narrowed in angry suspicion, her grip on Russell’s arm tightening.
“This is my garden. Nobody can know where it is. How did you get here? Tell me, and I’ll make your death painless.”
“It was an accident, I’m sorry... I can leave if you let go!” Russell said. He didn't want to resort to violence, especially if he had encroached on this being’s territory.
Just his luck. He had ran away from a snake and ended up in the clutches of an angry forest spirit. He was in the wrong, but maybe he could put things right.
“... I was just looking around the forest, it’s pretty... and then well, I ended up having to run from an aggressive snake and I wasn’t looking where I was going...”
Her grip wasn’t too painful yet.
“I can leave, and I can keep quiet about this place,” he said, looking her in the face as he said that, in the hopes that it would show how serious he was.
