We need to talk about Yianna
Yianna, a character that can easily be disliked
First of all, her role, she's basically the girlfriend that fans would say, "gets in the way of the mlm ship" and hate her for that, (cause people usually hate characters that get in the way of a ship even if the characters are good)
She's stupid, or acts like it. In her first scenes she really annoyed me with how she just took selfies and didn't care about anything else. She looked... well, like head empty no mind
The way she dresses, would be considered "slutty" or "asking for it"
And lastly but not least, her opinions, she didn't have enough screen-time but she seemed to have homophobic opinions whenever she brought the subject. Which well, is a no no
So yeah, her character, is an easily annoying one
But,
She didn't deserve this,
She didn't deserve to be cheated on, I get what's happening with Spyros, but- In the end she seemed to know, but willingly stayed with him cause she loved him
In the last episode when Maria confronts her Yianna just gets up and takes a selfie "We don't have a selfie together. I'll post it, I have a lot of followers, I'll even advertise the shop" It's definitely a coping mechanism. In the same scene she said "I'm not as stupid as you think" she probably has created her happy world in her influencer thing
We saw what happened when she went partying alone in that mini dress. I know he was the bad guy. She didn't deserve that. She likes to dress like that. She deserves to dress however the fuck she likes, men don't have the right to touch and act like- fuck I can't even continue this. Charalampos is a fucking bitch and he deserves to die, the killer should have shot him once more. Also, it was probably intentional, how in the last episode her clothes are more covering. She changed herself after what happened to her.
As much as I hated all the bullshit she said, Spyros had no right to raise his hands and hit her. I'm glad Maria noticed and called him out, I'm also glad the last time he realized what he was becoming and left instead of actually hitting her
So, well, I'm not sure where I was going with this but her character is important
She can easily be annoying or dislike-able
But
She deserves better
