Hey all,

I just wanted to let you know the next chapter of Arcturus might be delayed cause I’m going through some stuff. It should be on time but at the moment I have 0 motivation to write.

March has been a hard month for me for years because of PTSD, today in particular is the day where I have the worse depressive episodes because of it.

Then on top of it all, my elderly dog passed away this morning. My sweet Penny girl. I miss her so much already but she is no longer in pain.

So… yeah. I’ll try to have the chapter up on time but I don’t know yet. It’s still over a week away but still.

I swear to god I am so ready for one of the guys from the Arcturus Mission to lose their temper if one more bot tries to convince them to "think about the future and the life you could enjoy!" And just. Going off like "There IS no future! It's not just about piloting being dangerous, it's that being a pilot is not conducive to LIFE! They've taken out, replaced, and added so many things to us that it is not sustainable! Even if we stopped fighting right now, we would never live to be old! Either or bodies give out from the strain or the mods malfunction and kill us!" I don't know why I felt like sharing this dramatic rant i pictured somebody having. But I thought maybe it'd be enjoyable. I am seriously eating up all the misconceptions the cybertronian's have about the humans. And it just keeps getting worse! Like the humans have already come out and pretty much admitted to being heavily modified. But I can't forgot the scene of Hound admitting to Knockout that he can't read expressions from visors very well either. And maybe that's just how their species is, having different ways of conveying emotions to each other. Except the humans seem pretty well versed in understanding facial expressions, have likely used words specific to describing facial expressions. To the point it might be logical to conclude that humans normally have faces. And yet none of the pilots do. Sorry this started out as me just sharing the dramatic rant I'd imagined, and then I just started sharing more thoughts. Um... Enjoy???

I have to let everyone see this.

I feel like you’re inside my head, this is incredible. Believe me, with irritability being a symptom of overuse that blow up moment is coming. Cause all these guys figured they wouldn’t live very long, they all thought Jazz was dead and now these thousands of year old mechs keep talking about their long lives? It would piss off a totally calm person.

And yeah, I definitely feel like someone would/could be piecing that together for the visors v faces thing. At some point, one of them is just going to erupt on how horrible the compatibility testing is and how much it changed them mentally and physically.

It has ended. Finals are over. My first year of law school is in the bag. So, what am I doing with my first day of freedom?

Listening to the rain and working on Arcturus.

I have now seen Project Hail Mary.

Will this affect Arcturus? Slightly.

Am I thrilled? Yes.

Was there a time in my life where I thought I disliked sci-fi? … also yes.

But! But, that was just because I’m not a Star Trek fan and even I have to admit some of their stuff is useful.

Anyways. Just keep an eye out. ☺️

Here is that excerpt I promised you all, this chapter is just… taking a long time, which I don’t exactly have right now.

In the three years and change that he’d been on Cybertron, this was the last thing that he’d thought he’d be doing at any point.

Adjusting the growth light he had to bite his tongue to keep from swearing. Plants normally relaxed him, setting up a garden had been his favorite part of moving but this was a special kind of hell. Right now they were stressing him out, if he didn't get this and the water feeder back in place, all their plants would die.

This was the fifth time attempting to get the light hung, and he was getting close to accepting their imminent starvation.

This is just a slice of what is to come this chapter, I am maybe a quarter of the way through it so I hope to get some more done today but I’ve got classes and readings to do… So we will see. I’ll have the chapter up as soon as it is done, even if it isn’t a Tuesday.

I was hoping to have the new part out to you all tonight as a surprise, it only took me less then a week to write a whole chapter, but.. that is just not how the last several days have gone.

It’s about.. 75% of the way done, maybe more, but it won’t be done tonight.

I’ve written parts of it late like this and then spent hours the next day trying to re-write what I meant to say, that wasn’t gibberish.. so that slowed me down as well as general life stuff.

Anyways.. I might put it up tomorrow if I can finish it, then hopefully will post consistently from now till the end of August, but who knows.

I have 100% caught the Ao3 authors curse. Cause to cap off the terrible week last week, I am sick. Again.

So, delay in part 34, I’m working on it but I am not going to stress about getting it out on schedule rn. I promise a life update is coming this week and with that hopefully a return to normal.

Who knows though. Cause it wasn’t in my plan to get sick either.

Hello all!

I’m checking in, seeing how you’re all doing.

I’m.. exhausted lmao. I’m getting aggravated by the cases I’m reading and.. yeah. It’s a lot.

So. Arcturus Schedule.. it was once upon a time, Monday Wednesday Friday. Then Wednesday Friday. Then Tuesday Friday.

More recently it’s been every Tuesday.

As of this moment at 6:50 in the morning? I doubt I’ll have a chapter for tonight.

Saturdays at the moment are my only day off, and even though I wrote for a while on Saturday, I spent the better part of the day doing what I can’t do in the week.

So… I will have the next part hopefully up tonight (I doubt it, don’t count on it.) or next Tuesday which would mean that the schedule had become every other Tuesday.

I miss you all, but Law School has been so good so far..
