ughh i wish i had my tablet bc i had allll my horror mangas on there, but i’ll tell u from memory again sndjsd and then reading in general. keep in mind i prefer thriller over horror but in dis list they like…overlap.

Tomie by Junji Itodas right i’m a tomie thot too :pensive: i realllly need to read more of junji ito’s works but on god the art + how he illustrates the characters + like…the actual Horror? Junji Ito’s shit is just amazing because he creates what you wouldn’t expect to find scary at the thought of, but it’s so abnormal that it’ll srsly jump u at the page? anyways. T O M I E !

Zekkyō Gakkyū by Emi Ishikawa I read this quite some time ago, but i found it was so??? unnerving lmao. It’s basically told in a shoujo-manga style art but I think that’s worse because of the sudden art style change when something bad happens? Each chapter ‘Screaming Lesson’ which then goes into a story. G O O D S H I T. Some chapters aren’t as creepy as others but it’s still p good.

Corpse Party by  Makoto Kedouin & Toshimi Shinomiya I’m p sure everyone has read even a bit of Corpse Party cuz it’s like…a classic tht everyone’s heard of. It’s not that good LMAO but it’s worth reading? I haven’t read it since I was like…13 lol But, it used to scare me back then. IDK I just think u should read it !

Sweet Home by Youngchan Hwang and Carnby KimI know you said manga and this is a webtoon but Sweet Home is BY FAR my fav. I’m caught up as it’s ongoing but it’s so good. You should use three episode rule with Sweet Home as it seems quite. Dead at the beginning, but trust me, it gets really good. Honestly one of the best webtoons out atm.

Deadman Wonderlandthis is not rlly horor...it just has horror elements...deadman wonderland is suuuch a good read, 10/10 recommended

GANGSTA. by KosukeThis is one of my favourite mangas!! I’ve been reading it since 2016 or sth (but it’s not that long, just updates took a while bc the author got sick). GANGSTA is set in the city of Ergastulum and it has a very diverse cast, that touches on SO MUCH like…honestly it’s amazing. tw for…a lot of sexual connotations as one of the main characters is an ex-prostitute innit. And the chapter artwork sometimes:pensive:. idk. it’s HEAVY with emotion, ACTION and adventure. i love that shit. anyways!! read GANGSTA!!!

im also reading many webtoons ! and i might start reading Psycho Pass bc its my fav anime !!

Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi AdeyemiHELLO. UM. !!!!!. It’s a very….Black book. very african, but i still think that even readers tht arent african can really enjoy it. it’s a masterpieceee, i still haven’t finished it and i’m currently reading it but it’s soo fucking good!!

Coraline by Neil Gaimanok so! even if you’ve seen the film, you H A V E to read the book. the illustrated on. SOOOOO FUCKING GOOD!!! coraline was such an amazing read i respect neil gaiman to the CORE i ADORED it.

The 5th Wave by Rick Yanceyum. i love dystopiannovels so much so like…i had to put this here

The Knife of Never Letting Go (Chaos Walking series) by Patrick Nessidek how to describe this book like…god. SO CREATIVE. NEVER DONE BEFORE!!!

Skulduggery Pleasant series by Derek Landythis is ma favourite book series, i’ve been reading it since i was 11? it’s about a living skeleton detective and his 12 y/o sidekick and srsly it’s amazing….the humour, the plot, the CHARACTERS. FLAWLESS.

the Goosebumps seriesi read goosebumps as a kid, but i would still re-read them today, given the opportunity? i think EVERYONE should read goosebumps. seriously, if you want to start reading goosebumps, you should read:

Bluefish by Pat Schmatzi read this in like 2016, but still it rlly left an impression on me? The characters in the story really stick to you like…it’s that kind of story that’s kind of a slice of life? also i hc all the main characters as poc despite there being this one Dumb Ass line in it. but other than that? LOVED IT.
