Hello,
I had a what if scenario running through my head for a while now but I wanted to ask a question about QoTM. What would have happened if Yishan was a loving father to Yue from the start. Would things have gone differently?
Also what would have changed if Yue was born male because I remember reading in one of the chapters that having daughters as heirs were unconventional. If Yue had been born male would Yishan been forced to pay attention to Yue because of being the heir of the heir or would Yishan do whatever he could to not interact with Yue?
If Yishan was a loving father, so much would've been derailed. So. Much. Like, Yue's position in the clan would have been better. So much better. But also so much worse since she'd be targeted. Also, no child marriage for her. Over Yishan's dead body. The things he has already done for love. No one who suggested the marriage idea would've been left alive lmao.
If Yue was born male, Yishan would've used her - er, him to bring up Sangshen's position. And yes, he'd also personally train his son to be his heir. With how difficult the pregnancy was, Yishan wasn't planning of having any more children. Which means that Yue has to stay alive. Otherwise, he's apathetic. No paternal bone in his body.
