The Atlantis’ Kaldur Protection Squad’
Squad goals
i just.... i really love dolphin
Dolphin Post-Timeskip Thoughts
1. Definitely a member of the Team.
2. The oldest (I would want there to be a three year timeskip, and I think Dolphin is 16, turning 17 in 2019, so she’d be turning 20 in 2022) tied with her co-leader 20-year-old Bluebird
3. She joined the team after spending some months learning Atlantean sorcery, which gives her her comic light-blasting, flashing and signage powers. Anglerfish are the only thing that come to mind for aquatic bioluminescence but... those tattoos really don’t suit her unlike Kaldur’s eel ones
4. Unlike Kaldur, she completed her time there, so tattoos on command.
5. She and Kaldur consider each other as a little sister and big brother, gotta have the family grow y’know
6. NOT ROMANTICALLY INVOLVED WITH GARTH. I know this is a thing in the comics but no, not here. Sorry. Too wide of an age gap.
7. I think I’d want to pair her with Cassandra or Harper, I’m undecided.
8. She still sometimes forgets her hands and feet are webbed and clawed now. Good in battle, not so much when dining undercover
Love these Atlanteans.
(My dream team for Kaldur’s arc)
manifesting that kaldur's beard in future episodes is symbolic of him taking care of himself and not being so rigid and unforgiving toward himself anymore. it's a healthy beard. a good beard. i'm putting that out into the universe it WILL be real
Wishing and hoping that it's not a "my heart and soul have broken and I don't have the energy to maintain my appearance" beard. It WILL be a symbol of his healing. Like to charge reblog to cast.
For the Atlantis drabble, could you please do something with the Durham Fam (Calvin, Shalaina, Kaldur, and Delphis)
This May Be Propaganda for The Lemuria Board of Tourism But...
“We stopped in Singapore afterwards. Wyynde was landsick for most of it, but he loved the botanical garden.” Kaldur was saying over dinner.
“Oh I love Singapore.” Sha’lain’a mused. “I went there once when I was young-”
Delphis’s eyes trailed from her foster mom’s joyful face to her own plate. She found herself scooting the fish and kelp around with her spoon, stomach twisting sourly, as Kaldur related another story from his recent vacation with Wyynde.
The guilt of knowing Kaldur deserved all the leisure and travel in the world only added a spike to the nauseating twist, and it lingered even after dinner as she cleared the table. Calvin took the dishes from her with a gentle, knowing smile.
“It can be hard hearing about the surface. I miss it too, sometimes.”
“Oh-” Delphis’s frown deepened, hoping Kaldur had not noticed her mood as easily as his father had. She tried to smooth out her expression, or at least hide it with a dismissive shrug, “I have nothing to miss up there.”
When you think about it, Dolphin/Delphis kind of got screwed over in the metagene department. Her superpower is having white hair and not being able to breathe on land. Unless those glowing scales were a new power
i mean, we've seen kids whose powers are blowing up, becoming unrecognizable monsters, blowing up again, and growing acidic pustules all over their body. Meta powers are not always good. Delphis is lucky her's have a use. Plus she seems pretty happy about her new life in Atlantis.
