I have this mental image of Moon having a never ending supply of blankets in his pants pocket but they’re all tied together in a big chain of blankets

I could imagine this with them both, but with hankeys. A kid is crying, so Sun/Moon goes to offer them a hankey, but it's attached to another hankey, which is attached to another, and another, and another--and it just keeps going while they're faking complete incredulousness. Classic Tomfoolery. Gets 'em every time. (He has also done this to you. And yes, it also works on you.)
