Goodness, she was really tugging, wasn’t she? He was gripping the side of his door in a childish attempt at denying her plans. “That’s not fair, is it? You rang the doorbell, you knew I’d be this close to the entrance!” The fact that he was still in his housecoat and hadn’t brushed his hair out yet didn’t help with his depression-induced isolation.
He didn’t want to go intangible for fear that Yoko would go flying forward and hurt herself, so he grabbed her wrist and pulled her into the house instead, wriggling out of her grasp once she was safely away from the stairway to his front door.
Julius held his wrist, scoffing and looking it over. “Well, I’m sure you’ll be a great mother, won’t you? They’ll never get out of your grasp.” With a deep sigh, he turned and walked further into the house, heading towards his bedroom.
“I’m not ready for the sun, this week. Let me go back to bed...”
