Jin-su had never felt more humiliated in his life. He knew being tased was going to hurt, but he didn’t think it was going to cause him to pass out and urinate on himself in front of the others. Had he known all of that was going to happen, he would’ve done what the king said instead of getting tased.
Since he woke up back in his room, Jin-su hadn’t stopped crying. He was curled up in the corner of his room, bawling his eyes out and unable to calm down. He felt so embarrassed, uncomfortable, and was still in a bit of pain. It didn’t help that Jin-su was feeling little and had regressed as well, making his emotions more uncontrollable. He just wanted comfort, but he didn’t know who to go to. Jin-su was far too embarrassed to seek anyone out.
Though, it was as if someone knew that Jin-su didn’t want to be alone anymore, he could hear a knock on his door. Jin-su quieted down the best he could, sniffling and whimpering as he looked over at the door.
“Third floor?” A voice spoke from behind the door. “Are you alright?” The man asked. Jin-su recognized the voice. It was Phillip, or as Jin-su knew him, Seventh floor. “I only ask because I could hear you when I was walking to my room. I won’t bother you if you want to be alone.” Phillip said.
Jin-su wiped the tears from his eyes, standing up on shaky legs. He shuffled over to the door, really wanting Phillip’s company. Earlier, he would’ve denied it, due to his embarrassment. However now with him being regressed, all he wanted was someone to be with him.
Jin-su opened the door, seeing Phillip walking up the stairs, already leaving since he wasn’t getting an answer, which he took as Jin-su wanting to be left alone. Though, he stopped in his tracks when he heard the door open, turning around to see Jin-su looking at him. Jin-su opened the door wider and moved out of the doorway, so Phillip went over.
“How are you holding up?” Phillip questioned him as he walked into the room. Jin-su gave a small shrug, closing the door behind him. “That’s understandable.” Phillip spoke. “I wouldn’t know how to feel either.” He said. Jin-su put his head down, sniffling as his lip quivered, feeling like he was about to cry again, which Phillip immediately noticed.
“You know, I highly doubt anyone’s going to say anything to you when they see you tomorrow.” Phillip told him. “Most of us are understanding of the situation. We know what happened was completely out of your control.” He stated. Jin-su nodded a little, wiping his tears, trying to calm himself. He was unable to and ended up letting out a quiet sob.
“I don’t wanna be here anymore..” Jin-su mumbled to Phillip. “I..I wanna go home..” Jin-su hiccuped, another sob leaving him. Phillip looked at him, his facial expression soft. “I understand.” He started. “This situation is less than ideal, but I’m sure we can figure something out.” Phillip spoke.
Jin-su couldn’t help but cry harder. With his back pressed against the wall, he slid down it and put curled back up like he was earlier. Phillip stared at the crying man for a moment, before walking over to him. He wasn’t the best at comforting people, but he knew he had to at least try.
“Are you this upset because you’re embarrassed? Is that what’s mainly bothering you?” Phillip questioned as he sat down beside of him. Jin-su nodded, small cries and whimpers leaving him as he did so. “I get being embarrassed and upset, but it’s really not a huge deal. Sometimes it just..happens. It’s not your fault.” Phillip spoke, trying his best to calm him down. Jin-su slowly lifted up his head and looked at him.
“But everyone saw…an’ my clothes are all wet an’ gross..” Jin-su murmured. “Can’t even change ‘em or anythin’. ‘S gross..feel gross!” Jin-su whined, tugging at his clothes a bit. Phillip understood where he was coming from. He’d hate to be in soaked clothes that reeked.
“If it makes you feel any better, no one else’s clothes are much cleaner. There’s no shower or anything, so everyone else is pretty gross too.” Phillip spoke. Jin-su only looked at him with a pout on his face. “I’m sorry.” Phillip apologized, due to not being very good at giving him comfort. Jin-su gave a small nod, laying his head down on his knees, still looking at Phillip.
“‘S okay..” Jin-su softly grumbled. “Jus’..glad you’re here. Felt lonely..” He admitted. “If you felt lonely, why didn’t you come get me? You know I would’ve spent time with you.” Phillip responded. Jin-su shrugged. “Dunno. Too embarrassed to leave my room..” He said quietly. Phillip gave a small nod in response.
“No one’s gonna be mean to me ‘morrow right?” Jin-su asked Phillip. “No, I doubt it. If they were going to be mean to you, they would’ve been mean to you already. By tomorrow, I don’t think they’ll care.” Phillip answered, which did ease Jin-su’s nerves. Though, he was still of course embarrassed.
“Can I ask you something though?” Jin-su looked at Phillip with a curious expression. “Is there something else bothering you? I don’t mean to be rude, but I’ve noticed you’ve been acting different.” Phillip questioned. Ever since coming into his room, Phillip had noticed how different Jin-su was acting. The way he spoke, his mannerisms, it all seemed childish. While Phillip had a small suspicion of what could be happening, he wasn’t going to out right say it.
“No..just feel small.” Jin-su replied. “You feel small, huh? If you feel comfortable, can you tell me how small?” Jin-su thought for a moment, before holding up five fingers. Phillip hummed, nodding his head a bit. So he was correct, Jin-su had regressed. Phillip figured his regression was triggered due to he stressed and embarrassed.
“Okay, thanks for telling me.” Phillip responded with a small smile. Jin-su gave a smile back and nodded, forgetting about his previous feeling of embarrassment. “Can you hang out with me ‘til nighttime? I don’t wanna be alone or hang out with anyone else.” Jin-su asked with a quiet, slightly shy voice. Phillip nodded. “Yeah, I can stay here with you. I don’t have anything else to do anyway.” He replied, making Jin-su’s smile grow a bit bigger.
Phillip didn’t mind being around Jin-su, regressed or not, he got along with him the best anyway. Though, whenever Jin-su returns to his normal headspace, Phillip did plan to talk to him about it. Nothing negative, just letting Jin-su know if he ever needed to regress again, Phillip was completely fine with him coming to him.

i have a wip for another fic that delves more into phillips character and all my headcanons for him, but itll take a while before i post it. i havent watched the show in a while so if i continue it now, i feel like would risk committing the unforgivable sin of mischaracterization. (And that rule is especially strict when it comes to phillip because im so in love with his writing and his character. Hes so deeply flawed despite his intelligence and his composed facade. I love and miss him so much.)
these two gay bitches are gonna be the death of me I swear I can’t stop thinking about them, anywayssssss I really love how Jinsu specifically turned out in this one!!! I thought it would be really cute to conceptualize them meeting up outside of the show and reconciling aghhhhh I love them
