i am also selective, and sometimes sitting down and watching smething that is an hour or two is hard to do these days! I'd have to focus on the subtitles and watch and after having my son I don't have that time so I do what I can. Lol. Which I think sometimes that's why I stick to like Bangtan Bombs or some of their stages I haven't had the chance to gif.

exactly! also kpop in general tends to put out content very frequently and it can get overwhelming very easily even if you're just a fan, nevermind a content creator. and yeah the busier your life gets the more you're gonna prioritize the content that you're most excited/interested in watching. bangtan bombs are genuinely perfect bc most of the times they're really short and centered around one key moment/interaction so those go in the 'watch + gif' category for me too!!

I feel like this might upset some folks BUT personally, I feel like if the song had been in English they wouldn't be saying the same thing. Like do these folks say the same thing about western love songs? I think not. because it be the same people crying over t. swift's love songs and it's nothing against her her music is decent but c'mon now.

no but literally say it. if my time had been in english it would have been "oooooh my god so groundbreaking no one else in the pop industry is doing this blah blah blah" like. my time is not by any means revolutionary - these are themes bts themselves have touched on before, as well as other idols. but it is a very emotional and tragic song behind the glam of it all. its just this total devalorization of bts' work over the last decade because ppl dont want to admit that maybe *gasp* they aren't as connected to the songs in a language most of them don't speak and they are to the ones they actually took time to write themselves. like, for a fandom so insistent on branding themselves as crusaders against xenophobia, armys sure are defensive when it comes to their anti-intellectual anglocentric takes on the validity of lyricism and literacy.

Yup! We had to take health class in high school, so we learned sex ed, reproduction, dr*gs and some other things when we took it. You are totally right, my mom got pregnant at a young age (15) with my brother, and so she made sure me and my sister didn't have to go through that, so we were taught at home what sex meant, contraceptives, and where babies come from. I know not every parent talks to their children, and it's sad to see because it has to start somewhere as well as being in school. 1/2

Like when I have my son, and he gets old enough I want to have that talk with him. Granted, I know it's different than having that same sex talk with girls, but at the same I want my son to practice safe sex and be safe with whoever he decided to date. 2/2

your mum is so strong though for raising your brother since such a young age. and it’s so cool that she actually made sure you guys knew about sex and how it all works.
