Yoosung Week - The Path Ahead
[Prompt: The First Step]
[Approx. word count: just under 1.4k]
[A/N: WELP. With this, I bring my own run with this year’s Yoosung Week to a close. If you stayed with me this long, God help you ,you have my gratitude.]
The night had passed dreamlessly, giving way to the soft sunlight filtered through the blinds of the hospital room.
Stirring slowly awake, Yoosung attempted to blink his eyes a few times before he realized the bandages held his left eye shut. As his mind crawled out of the fog of sedatives, a sort of cold prickling seeped at the edge of his memory and he couldn’t shake off the uneasy feeling as feral aqua eyes glared down at him. His ears began to flood with laughter like broken glass, elevating his blood pressure higher and higher—
“You cutie…I’m gonna bite you when I see you!”
“Where are you right now?”
“Yoosung…I love you!”
“Oh! The party!”
He shot up in the hospital gurney, regretting it almost instantly as his head began to swim nauseously.
“Yoosung, hold on! Nurse, can we get his next round of medication?”
“Mnn…V-hyung…?”
As the room slowed down from spinning to just wiggling in place like gelatin, Yoosung carefully pushed his head up to find the older man bending next to him as a nurse shuffled by with a tray of syringes.
“No sleepy ones!” he pleaded, closing his eye to prevent anymore fast stimulation. The nurse hesitated, glancing at the patient before looking to V; he stood back up after checking the bandages around Yoosung’s head, contemplating the options.
“Just the pain relievers for now, if you could please?” he asked, turning back to find Yoosung pinching the bridge of his nose.
“Maybe something for dizziness if you have it…?”
The nurse inserted the syringes, pressing the plunger slowly into a fresh IV drip; chuckling softly, she set the last syringe aside and checked on Yoosung’s vitals before giving him a kind smile.
“The dizziness might be left over from yesterday’s anesthesia, but I’ll come back around in about an hour to see how you’re doing and we can give you something else if it’s necessary, ok?”
Yoosung thanked her, smiling in relief until she excused herself from the room. V felt around until his hands found a chair to pull closer to the bed, seating himself closer to the patient as if to avoid raising his voice more than necessary.
“Yoosung, how are you feeling?” he asked quietly, full of caution. The blonde huffed, still trying to clear his messy head.
“I think I’m ok…just stings a little but—wait, what time is it?”
Sensing the alarm in his voice, V squeezed his shoulder to soothe him.
“It’s just a bit after eight in the morning, so calm down—“
“I need to get my clothes ready—!”
V laughed quietly under his breath, thoroughly amused at his priorities immediately upon waking from emergency surgery. Still…he understood the urgency; he rose to his feet and pulled out the hanger displaying Yoosung’s RFA party attire from the closet standing opposite from the bed station.
“I couldn’t seem to find a clean set of socks…so if it’s no trouble to you, I just loaned you a pair of spare trouser socks I had on hand.”
Sinking back to the pillows with a sigh, Yoosung nearly teared up in relief.
“V-hyung…thanks.” The words sounded strange on his tongue after so long, but he meant them sincerely.
“Of course, Yoosung, I’m happy to help,” V inclined his head, strands of teal falling over his glasses.
A moment passed silently as Yoosung continued to take controlled breaths, letting the IV do its job and perk his energy back up. Flexing his clammy hand, he tried to lay a section of blanket over it until V tucked it around his fingers the rest of the way.
Very carefully, Yoosung slowly turned his head to see him better.
“I’m…actually a little surprised you’re not trying to make me stay in bed.”
Raising his eyebrows behind the large sunglasses, a smile tugged at his mouth as he nodded in agreement.
“I’m a little surprised myself actually, but…I think if you decide you can manage it, I can’t do anything less than take you as far as you can handle.”
Comfortable warmth settled into his stomach, and he bit down a grateful smile, willing his brain to send appropriate words but finding none. Despite having even less vision than Yoosung did presently, the elder seemed to pick up on his dilemma and graciously filled the gap.
“You faced great danger in spite of your fears to protect the person most precious to you…you’ve grown into an admirable man, Yoosung—it wouldn’t be right to stand in your way, not after you’ve come this far.”
There was another quiet pause as the men let the words breathe and settle.
“I…Thank you, V-hyung. That really does mean a lot…”
A curious energy began to flutter within his stomach as a new, lighter dilemma hummed behind his lips. In less than four hours, Yoosung would finally meet the woman who saved him and his future. The mere thought caused the heart monitor to chirp a little faster.
“Yoosung…? Ah, you’re thinking about her then,” V tilted his head toward the monitor, laughing as the younger man fidgeted with the sheets with giddy anxiety.
“I…god, she’s going to be beautiful…I really need these medications to kick in so I can clean up properly! The bandages are going to be a bit difficult to style my hair around, so I need all the time I can get but I also want to make sure I’m not so dizzy—I can’t risk throwing up on her at any cos—V, it’s not funny! What if she breaks up with me before we even become boyfriend and girlfriend officially? Hyung!”
After an hour of mirthful reassurance and gentle coaching, the dizziness finally faded and allowed Yoosung to stay on his feet without too much assistance from the photographer, who then moved to help him into his clothes without too much bending in case of relapse.
“Now this excursion will just be a temporary leave; you do understand that we will have to return within an hour or two, right?”
Combing the bright fringe back into place, Yoosung stood back from the mirror, clenching his fist energetically.
“That’s more than enough time, as long as I get to see her!” he exclaimed, confidence straightening his spine. V couldn’t help grinning; the positive energy was infectious and he found himself a bit envious of the youth’s determined vigor.
Calling a taxi, V held the door open as Yoosung gave himself a final once-over and took a deep calming breath.
A mere week ago, he had felt like an entirely different person; helpless, aimless, full of grief and despair with only a cheerful façade to live up to just to get through the day before he immersed himself into a fantasy world where he didn’t have to be any of those things night after night.
Then she stumbled into his life, bringing a cathartic sort of chaos that miraculously allowed him to escape the framework of this miserable routine. It wasn’t as though his heart didn’t still ache at the thought of what was lost to him and how he would never be able to introduce the woman he loved to the person who gave him the greatest influence—and there were still some questions he still and would never have answers for.
But he finally had a way forward, and a future he wanted to obtain with the most precious person by his side. Yoosung had always joked about being bright and cheerful to keep up everyone’s mood, and now he wanted to live bright enough for any watchful eyes in the heavens to spot them from the earth below.
This time, he knew he could do it. All he needed was to take her hand for it to finally feel real and then to make her never want to let go—this was the kind of man he was going to be.
“Ready, Yoosung?”
He opened his eye, taking comfort in the way his heart pounded behind his ribs and the vibrant tingle that surged through his veins—it was finally time.
The first step toward the unknown was normally reserved with caution, hesitant and uncertain like an infant learning how to trust their feet to carry them.
For Yoosung, it now took all his willpower to keep from running to get started.

Yoosung week - Multilayered Retribution
[Prompt: Unwrap]
[Approx. word count: 2.3k]
[Y O O S M U T]
[A/N: Someday I will better adhere to deadlines. Today is obviously not that day orz. The last entry will miss the Yooweek deadline, but I’ll still put it on my blog later. I tried y’all :’D ]
Yoosung Kim was not one to start wars frivolously, but the temptation had been too much.
His wife was not one to wear much clothing to bed, at least not during the warmer months—and while it nearly gave him heart palpitations when she finally started feeling comfortable enough to admit to this tendency, it was now a blessed part of his day.
As it turned out, routine did nothing to dampen its appeal.
This would prove to be his downfall today.
He opened the text he’d received from his beautiful bride just as he locked up the office and extracted his car keys—then froze as he read it.
<You have one hour to finish what you started or I will take my revenge. Find me.>
The lab coat flared behind him as he ran to the parking garage.
Tapping in the door code urgently, Yoosung checked the timestamp and realized twenty minutes had already passed. Finally, the lock chimed and slid open; nearly stumbling through the doorway, he removed his shoes and opened his mouth to call out when the fading daylight caught something shimmery laying on the shoe cabinet.
It was the satin trim lining the lapels and hemline of his wife’s work jacket.
He took a steady breath—nothing out of place about that, people always take off their jackets by the door, himself included. Laying both over his arm, Yoosung stepped out of the foyer and headed toward the living room.
“Honey...? Is everythi—?!”
He noticed it as he bent to scratch Lisa behind the ears, spotting her outstretched sleepy paw from over the armrest of the couch.
The cat was sleeping on a skirt that complimented the suit jacket he held particularly well. Moisture began to settle along his nape, and Yoosung gulped while scanning the room for any more clues. Aside from the cat’s purring, there were no other sounds of life in the house which meant the game was on and there would be no extra hints outside of this ominous threat to his composure.
Panicking wouldn’t get him anywhere, so the veterinarian decided to reassert a methodical approach to this situation.
After all, he wasn’t going to regret the method he used to get his goodbye kiss for work that morning. Yoosung was a considerate husband, and on the rare occasions where his wife was able to sleep in a bit before heading into her office, he wanted to her to indulge.
But…he also didn’t want to just kiss her and chance waking and leaving her in confusion before running out the door, so it was only natural to find a nicer way to rouse her consciousness, wasn’t it?
It’s not as though he intended for his thorough breast massage and flickering tongue to leave her a panting mess in their bed—he just wanted to see her eyes before he pecked her lips before leaving for the day!
This was almost a complete lie.
Yoosung bit his lip, grinning ruefully. Deep down he’d known there would be hell to pay for the glint of outrage he’d caught just as he sped out the door but he couldn’t bring himself to feel too bad…not for the rare daylight glimpse casting a golden glow over her cheeks as they deepened from rosy pink to crimson, nor for the cherished little moans and sighs that stayed in his ears long after his lunch break.
Nonetheless, if there were to be consequences, Yoosung at least wanted to match her effort with this elaborate setup. He opened the cupboard and withdrew a glass for some water, taking a sip before opening the fridge to see what meat had been thawed out for dinner—and immediately choked, coughing up the drink when he found the peach lace bra sitting on the juice shelf. Whipping his gaze around the kitchen, he found the silky work blouse hanging with the aprons nearby.
Wiping his mouth, he stood up straight and sighed…he was already half up which meant he was halfway to obvious surrender.
Making his way down the hall, Yoosung took even steps as he opened the linen and hall closets, extracting a sheer stocking from both—he hesitated, feeling the residual warmth in the material…then he found the garter belt resting over the door handle to the bedroom and his tongue swelled heavily in his mouth.
He rushed into the bedroom before he could think twice about it, eyes darting around wildly and finding nothing out of place. The blonde pulled up the bed sheets, looked under the desk—even behind the drapes, but to no avail. Tossing the curtains back, the dusk light barely illuminated anything…
…but he found it:
The matching peach lace bikini cut panties lay directly in front of the bathroom door.
Slightly shaking, Yoosung had to wipe his sweaty palms before he crouched to pick them up.
He wasn’t proud of the whimper that crawled out of his throat when the scant sunlight managed to highlight the sticky mess plastered over the cotton portion of the garment. The accusation of the kind of day she had endured due to his daring was evidently clear; judgment was at hand.
Worse still, the victorious chuckle emanated from behind the door before he’d even touched the knob. Pressing a smile between his lips, Yoosung shook his head; both husband and wife knew he had lost this battle before entering the house.
Resolving himself to face retribution, he straightened his back to match his traitorous anatomy and entered the bathroom just in time to watch the hair cascade down the creamy expanse of her back. Tugging the towel up over her front before she turned around, Yoosung could only stare into her narrowed eyes with a guilty smile.
“You were just a bit too slow…too bad,” she taunted silkily. Sucking a breath between his teeth, Yoosung let his head fall back before nodding in defeat, pinching the bridge of his nose as he waited for her terms. Her smile was aggravatingly smug as she approached and he loved it.
“All right, you win—but I still intend to finish what I started, cutie.”
Bold declaration though it was, her smile only grew until her eyes were barely open.
“We’ll see if you can; would you care to take a consolation prize?”
She positioned the edge of the towel into his hands, and Yoosung paused, almost certain that this ‘prize’ would be used against him somehow; he had taken a very creative spouse.
“…Okay,’ he exhaled, planting a sweet kiss on her waiting lips to formally announce that he was home, ‘—bring it!”
Peeling back the fluffy terry cloth, Yoosung let his eyes roam over each curve, muscle and scar; each as perfect as he remembered them to be…and every bit teeming with potential to ruin him as she had every time before.
Following her as she stepped back toward the shower stall, he gasped when she switched gears and spun him back against the wall, lifting his shirt and making short work of his belt buckle and fly. Trailing her nails carefully down his backside, his boxer briefs were removed with minimal resistance; his tip had already poked out from beneath the elastic waistband, eager to be free until it could be sheathed in something infinitely warmer.
Pressing herself firmly against his bare skin, Yoosung muffled a groan behind his fist when her hand whispered over his member before grasping his testicles and dragging up until her palm aligned with his entire length.
“I’m glad you enjoyed the buildup to this little game, husband…you might not feel the same by the end of it.”
Without enough time to even question the statement, his breath hitched in his throat the second her thumb circled and spread the pre-cum over the head and shaft—just enough to lubricate her hand before she stroked and milked his cock at a maddening pace. Her lips, starting inside his collarbone, left a wet hot trail that drifted down to circle his right nipple with occasional pinching between her soft lips.
“Guh—! God..hhaa…wife--!”
There was a merciful pause as she smiled against his areola, kissing it softly before dropping lower to trace each lightly defined ab with the tip of her tongue. The vet chuckled as the impulse to add more exercise to his weekly routine raced across his mind.
He opened one purple eye to catch her attention, panting moderately.
“You’ve made your point, honey—am I forgiven yet?”
He had thought the extended focus on his chest was a direct rebuff for his attack this morning, and that her thorough (and instructional) retaliation set them on equal ground again.
He was wrong.
“Oh Yoosung…you’re so cute,’ she cooed, laughing lightly despite the devious gleam in her eyes, ‘—If you touch me with your hands just once, this ends and I will put all my clothes back on immediately.”
He paled, brows knitting in confusion.
“…You’re not serious?”
She was very serious, silently stroking his length languidly while sliding her body down.
“But—honey! I need to—hngghh…you…I have to finish what I started!”
Her face finally split into a grin and Yoosung finally understood where the trap had been set.
“You missed that window, darling—now I’m going to do as I please. But don’t worry—,’ Yoosung let out a strangled yell as her tongue flicked beneath his base before stealing up to the crown, ‘—I won’t be as rude as you were.”
Another blob of pre-cum leaked into her waiting palm, making him wince as it was worked along his shaft.
“Cutie, please…please, I—“
“Hands up, husband.”
Biting his lip, Yoosung complied and reached up for the towel rack, tucking the other behind his back. He only saw her mischievous wink as she closed her mouth around him before he threw his head back. Yoosung was no stranger to the wonders of her tongue at this point, but there was something a bit different this time.
Usually the noises embarrassed her enough to keep them to a minimum, but today…today she seemed intent to take advantage of the echo as the tiles bounced back every loud slurp and smack, ensuring that his ears would be on fire whether or not he chose to look down. His breath came in ragged gasps, swallowing thickly when he felt the back of her throat more than once—words of concern and apology were attempted before they died on his tongue when her moans vibrated around him torturously.
Against his better judgment, his eyes fell open in time to watch her bob up and down until she pulled back with hollowed cheeks—a sight he considered almost sacred—but it was her hands that stole what little oxygen he had left in his lungs: the left mimicked his motions from this morning while the right spread her lower lips apart, middle finger working furiously at her slit in time with her tongue. Another whimpering moan squeaked past his teeth while his hands fisted behind and above him.
Another ill-advised bit of timing sealed his fate, locking eyes with her as she smiled around his pulsating member; seeing his desperation, she withdrew her right hand and brought the silky residue to his waiting tongue where he received it with a needy cry, spilling into her mouth recklessly.
His last working brain cell urged him to pull back to protect her throat, but her hands shot to his waist, locking him in place until he was completely empty. Struggling to calm his heart rate, Yoosung waited for her to release him and spit.
She did neither.
“H-honey…?” he coughed.
Lips still sealed around him, she glanced up and inhaled through her nose; Yoosung blanched, realizing too late that she was swallowing.
“Don’t—! Why did you—ahh?”
Her eyes closed as she made a face, shrugging her shoulders with a muffled ‘hmph’—then she smirked up at him…and resumed bobbing her head. The blonde gasped loudly, banging his fists in the wall behind him while he tried to contain himself, but the onslaught was too much—
Yoosung began shrieking with laughter, slapping the tiles frantically.
“STO—AHHAH—KUH!! Cutie, I—WIFE, PLEASE!” There was a ‘pop’ and Yoosung sank to the floor, shivering as he wiped tears from his eyes. Eventually, he felt her hands pushing him up so he could see her face once more.
“What have we learned?” she crowed, licking the corner of her mouth. Yoosung chuckled weakly, stroking her cheek.
“Do you really think my brain can work right now?!”
Rolling her eyes, she pinched his thigh lightly and turned to gather the soap and her scrubbing cloth.
“Oh, go and put yourself back together, I’ll be out in few minutes—!”
Yoosung tilted his head, reaching back for her.
“But…you’re not done, I’m pretty sure…”
“And? You’re in no condition to do anything about that—“
“Give me fifteen minutes,” he protested, rubbing along her spine. Her skin trembled a little beneath his fingertips, but she refused to turn around.
“…I forgot to thaw anything out for dinner, so we’re going to have to go out to eat…” the woman admitted shyly after a moment’s hesitation. Listening to her husband’s tired chuckle, she smiled when he kissed her shoulder and exited the shower, finally seeing reason.
Halfway through soaping up, Yoosung re-entered the stall, completely nude.
“Yoosung, I’m not kidding, I really forgot—!”
Taking the washcloth from her hands, he made small circles along her back while dipping his tongue past her lips to trace the roof of her mouth.
“Delivery will be here in an hour…so let me make a full apology?”
Sometime later that evening, the intercom chimed and made a strong argument for investing in bathrobes.
Yoosung apologized profusely for dripping water on the deliveryman...and answering the door in a loosely wrapped towel.

Yoosung week - Confectionary Heist
[Prompt: Cake Decor]
[approx word count: 1.3k]
[A/N I’m actually slightly glad I was late with this one because that title screen was too perfect not to work with TwT Also not 100% on the title, so we’ll see laterrrr <3]
Between the receipts laid out on the counter before the bags and boxes of flour, sugar and other baking staples, Yoosung could only arrive at one conclusion:
He had gone mad.
Just before March had arrived, the blonde had been stockpiling supplies to practice for White Day confectionaries, complete with a playlist of tutorial videos queued in his phone.
He knew there could be a problem with his efforts being discovered now that he actually shared a home with his Forever-Valentine, yet being found out didn’t appear to be the issue…
The issue was that his ingredients seemed to be disappearing in significant portions with each day, apparently into thin air judging from the clear lack of baked goods in the apartment!
Worst of all, Yoosung had yet to actually practice creating anything.
So then where were the flour and sugar going? Who was making off with the cocoa powder and cinnamon?
Glaring at the pantry suspiciously, Yoosung felt a shiver cross his spine—what if rats or roaches were behind this theft?
He contemplated this fear before shaking his head, partially in relief. Even if either creature was responsible, it would be impossible for nearly half the sugar or flour to be gone as a result unless a literal army of either had invaded and—
Yoosung broke off; skin already crawling at the vague imagination.
‘…There’s absolutely no way, obviously. Besides, even the vanilla and cream cheese in the fridge is missing and they couldn’t…surely they couldn’t…’
Frowning, Yoosung began tentatively looking over the refrigerator door seal for anything potentially resembling bite marks until a shuffling at the front door distracted him. There was a momentary pause, then the lock mechanism began to whir and the door opened to reveal the other occupant of the apartment, struggling with sacks of groceries. Hurrying to meet her, Yoosung looped the hefty tote from her shoulders with his hand before the weight jerked his arm down.
“Welcome back! Why didn’t you ask me to meet you down in the lobby to help you—?“
He broke off, realizing the contents of the shopping bag. There were at least four kilogram bags of sugar and about five kilos worth of flour in addition to a sizeable amount of chocolate, cream cheese, vanilla and almond extract.
Lugging the sack to the kitchen counter, Yoosung poured a glass of cold water and brought it to his exhausted girlfriend as he steered her toward the couch. He couldn’t help noticing that she used the other arm that hadn’t carried the tote to lift the glass and drain it in two large gulps. Smiling in sympathy, Yoosung rubbed his palms carefully over her shoulders until she sank into him gratefully.
“Perfect timing,” she wheezed before pecking his cheek. Flushing mirthfully, he squeezed gently in reply.
“I think it could have been better—please call me if you’re going to buy that much stuff next time before you hurt yourself,’ he admonished lightly. Hesitating, he narrowed his eyes suspiciously as the thought struck him, ‘…rather, your timing is almost psychic—did we really go through that much or are the local mice holding a bake sale?”
The glass slipped between her hands before she managed to catch it. Sagging as she leaned forward to place it on the table, she sighed slowly.
“…So you found them then?”
Yoosung mustered all his willpower into maintaining a pleasantly neutral expression before her deadpan gaze; waiting her out until she climbed to her feet and shuffled to the fridge. He followed after her, waiting until she stood at the fridge with a mildly guilty frown before huffing decisively.
When she began moving the milk jug and large tea pitchers, Yoosung rushed to assist, lest her arm give out from the earlier strain—then came the contents hidden behind the wall of beverages. By the time the third confectionary attempt was placed on the counter, Yoosung broke down into poorly concealed snorts of laughter.
“Look, I know they’re hideous, but I didn’t want to waste them—and the taste might not be horrible!”
Fully giggling at this point, Yoosung could only pull the defeated woman into a gleeful hug to show there was no need for defense of the lopsided, half-crumbled cakes that now decorated the kitchen. Still embracing her, he tore a chunk from the nearest experiment and brought it to his mouth until her fingers shielded his lips.
“…Just in case it is horrible…I won’t make you go through it alone,” she answered his curious stare, halving his selection and popping it into her mouth with a wince. Yoosung bit back another laugh, kissing her forehead before tasting his piece.
To their shared relief, it was as delicious as it was visually tragic. Yoosung moved to sample the other misshapen creations, eyes lighting up as each flavor hit his taste buds.
“Honey…these all taste wonderful, but…why are there so many?”
Squeezing her sore arm, Yoosung waited until her internal debate concluded with a light blush.
“…I couldn’t get them to hold the right shape or stay level...so I ended up making three different kinds in hopes that I could get something presentable eventually.”
Removing his glasses, Yoosung covered his face with his palms until he could walk back and bury his face in her shoulder.
“It’s not fair for you to be this cute, shame on you!”
His muffled scolding succeeded in bringing a smile back to her lips as she pinched the bridge of her nose, chuckling lightly at his sweet dramatics.
“Don’t worry, Yoosung—you’re still the cutest man in the RFA,” she comforted, petting his fluffy fringe. Still comfortable on her shoulder, Yoosung turned to kiss her neck loudly.
“Hm…well, there are three cakes in my house and I’m the only one who gets to see this kind of cuteness from you,’ he pondered aloud, sighing in mock contemplation, ‘—ok, you’re forgiven!”
“So gracious for a man who spoiled his own birthday surprise,” she quipped, tone teasing with light sarcasm. Yoosung grinned, ready for this development.
“Nope! I didn’t spoil anything, you just revealed yourself too early—“
“What?? If you hadn’t seen them yet…Yoosung, you sneak! I could have had more time to make them less ugly! Probably!”
Her outrage was less than convincing as they grinned at each other, hugging tightly. Heart feeling full and warm, Yoosung would have been satisfied even if the cakes had tasted like ash; her efforts alone would have warranted him to choke down at least a portion of every flavor.
“Well, if I hadn’t been trying to bake you something for White Day, I might not have noticed,” he admitted, conceding his own plans to be fair.
For his equitable consideration, Yoosung was rewarded with another taste of chocolate hazelnut frosting when she pressed her lips to his; the taste now swiping the top placement on his list of favorites. The sweet aroma still tickled his nose when they parted for air.
“If both of our surprises are ruined, what shall we do then?”
Licking his lips to catch the remaining traces, Yoosung hummed thoughtfully as he pulled up his phone’s browser and opened one of his bookmarks.
“I think I have a solution—I signed up for a cake decorating class at your favorite bakery, but I think it would be even more fun to do together! I mean, if you’re interested—“
He was caught off guard as her lips pecked his excitedly.
“Please! Maybe I can turn these monstrosities into cake balls afterward!”
Snickering, Yoosung pinched her nose lightly for the harsh self-criticism then followed with a soft kiss. After covering the cake mounds, Yoosung called the bakery to enroll his equally amateur sweetheart into the course. By the time they’d settled down to their jointly prepared dinner, the pair were enthusiastic about potentially mastering another kitchen art together.
The giddy energy ended up spilling into the days leading up to the workshop; so when Yoosung awoke the morning of his birthday to find a brand new apron set laid over his desk chair, he had to fight to contain his mirth…
…at least until he could present her with the apron he’d bought for her when they showed up to class.

Yoosung Week - Starlight Rewrite
[Prompt:Starry Night]
[Approx. word count: 2.6k]
[Y O O S M U T]
[A/N: I’m not sold on this title, but it is late and I’m T I R E D. I’ll see if I hate by time it’s ready for ao3]
The last time he’d experienced such quiet atop a forested mountainside, he had been too occupied to look at the stars properly as the adrenaline kept him on alert for danger. Tonight would be different; he knew that—he was trying hard to convince himself of the fact, but…
The pain he had endured that night had done a bit more than scar his eye, and though there had been no signs of danger for years, Yoosung couldn’t help the prickly feelings that ran along his spine and seeped into his skin as though he were laying on a slab of ice instead of the thick blanket pad spread out beneath them.
His tension was evident despite his best efforts, and Yoosung knew his cover was blown when she turned around in his arms to peer into his eyes.
“Honey…is there something wrong or did you recall a horror movie that looked like this?”
He chuckled shakily at her attempt at levity, squeezing his companion a little tighter and closing his eyes.
“There’s nothing wrong…I’ll be ok, I just need to get a hold of myself.”
Cool fingers slid along his jaw until his face rested between her palms; Yoosung peeked open slowly, already feeling more vulnerable in her hands. He knew there would be little he could deny her once he met her gaze, but to his surprise he felt the gentle press of her warm lips against his left brow.
“That night when…?”
“Yeah…but I’m ok. I know I am,” he breathed out slowly, willing his body to understand; it was dark and quiet, but there were no strange buildings, monitors or other people around—no one lurking in the silence, deciding which injury would best destroy his future or screens full of codes, any of which could possibly set off a detonation from a remote—
She was on his lips in an instant, taking Yoosung’s desperate grip as the cue to offer up a comfortable distraction; his spiraling thoughts shuddered to a grinding halt, like a record scratch in his brain as her tongue slipped beyond his lips to devour his fears. The air was chilly, but as she sandwiched him against the blanket with her deceptively strong body and wandering hands, Yoosung could only seem to focus on the steam fogging his glasses and the delicious melting sensation coiling low in his belly.
Finally parting for air, the woman peered down at him with a satisfied grin.
“That’s much better,” she assessed, palms pressing against his thighs with a firm squeeze and Yoosung was struck with the memory of the first time he found himself under her, halfway to ruin. A breeze fluttered the mid-thigh hem of her skirt along with the ends of her hair; with a gradually deepening blush, Yoosung had to agree with her—he was certainly feeling much better, though vulnerable in another context.
“Nothing gets past you, hm?”
“Not with you holding me like we’re getting swept away by a flood,’ she laughed, settling into a contemplative mood, ‘…I think about that night a lot too, but maybe not like you do…”
Yoosung huffed, wincing in apology.
“I’m sure I worried you a lot that night—I’m sor—“
“You did, but I’m not talking about that~”
He paused as she trailed off in a singsong lilt, confused by her lead but ever willing to follow.
“…Then…what are you…?”
“The phone calls.”
Yoosung sat up on his elbows, slightly apprehensive as she appeared to be restraining a smirk; her eyes glinted and he desperately combed through his memory for anything offensive.
“We did call each other quite bit that night, but I…I didn’t say anything…weird, did I?”
Heat crept up his neck; not even a hand over her mouth hid the entirety of her cunning smile and…was that pity in her eyes?
“Weird? Oh no…a bit naughty, perhaps—“
“WHAT!? Wait—are you teasing me? What did I say?”
“…You really don’t remember? It kept me up most of the night; I had to set five extra alarms to make sure I didn’t oversleep for the party…”
Yoosung sank back to the mat, mortified as he shielded his burning face with his hands. Just when he thought he couldn’t be any more flustered, the killing blow was mercilessly whispered into his ear.
“So just where were you thinking of kissing me first before you decided at the party…?”
All at once, the air left his lungs as though he’d been doused with ice water.
“Oh god…I actually said that? Out loud? To you?? I can’t believe I—“
Without allowing him to wallow any further, she went on the offensive and slid her fingers into the scarf bound around his collar, pulling it away for easy access.
“Was it…here?”
At the first tender lick of his throat, Yoosung let out a high pitched gasp that softened into pleased hums as others followed.
‘This devious woman…’
He had to admit her method was effective; it was hard to hate yourself with a beautiful woman straddling your lap as she sucked at your pulse point. When words continued to fail him, the top three buttons of his shirt were next to go as a searing trail of teasing nibbles descended down his neck, over his left collarbone until her lips planted their next mark directly over his heartbeat.
‘Oh, that would have been good too…ahh?’
The chill was never more apparent than when she withdrew in resignation.
“It’s not working, is it…? Sorry, love…it was worth a try,’ she sighed, smiling sadly, ‘—we can head back and find some other place to—o-ohh…”
Once he realized she wasn’t joking, Yoosung sat up and threw his arms around her waist. He bowed his head against her abdomen in reverent gratitude—then promptly pressed her thighs until she sat fully on his lap and could feel just how well her methods were working. Breathing deeply in an attempt to force back his blush, Yoosung tentatively dragged his focus upward until he locked eyes with hers.
Back then, before he’d been able to see her, he had spent almost every day wondering what this kind and cheerful soul looked like when hearing her voice over the phone failed to satisfy his curiosity.
But as the week became a tumultuous storm, he began wondering every night about the woman who had quickly and fiercely snatched his heart—no doubt, an activity that partially spared his fragile mind and heart from insanity during the worst of it. Every bold flirtation and gentle word directed to him served to fill his soul even as every other part of it broke until he could begin to mend it.
So once he made those first steps out of the melancholy of his past, it was of little wonder that his thoughts fixated on the love he wished to experience with his future.
Her bright eyes blinked back at him, expectant but patiently awaiting his next move. Yoosung smiled, nuzzling her stomach until she giggled and pushed his shoulders back in self defense.
“Mm, those were some good choices, but I was also considering…” his voice faded away as he swallowed, bringing her slender wrist to his lips as he kissed the inside. Drawing her chin lower, Yoosung watched the woman wiggle in contentment after pressing his lips against her forehead.
“So innocent…how cute!” she beamed, relishing the tender affection.
Yoosung almost felt bad for luring her into a false sense of security—hands smoothing down her back and over the curve, he let his nails bite into flesh just enough to leave light indentations…enough to make her body shiver with tension.
“…You might not find this so cute…will you let me show you anyway?”
The moonlight was just bright enough to see her pupils flare in response. Yoosung smiled playfully, tugging her back to her knees as he bit the corner of her shirt and pulled it out of the waistband of her skirt; nudging his nose beneath the fabric, he licked his lips and inhaled her scent before firmly pressing the warmth to her stomach, just above the jut of hipbone. A tiny gasp sounded overhead and he grinned against her skin, lingering a few seconds longer until he remembered another spot that had captivated him.
Moving north, he stopped just before his nose could brush against the underside of the silky smooth bra, which ended up brushing against him anyway as the owner took a deep, shivering breath.
“You were planning to tease from the start? That’s a bold way to transition from pre-boyfriend, don’t you think?”
Her shaky chuckle made his ears tingle and flush pleasantly; Yoosung found himself enjoying the perspective as he returned her laughter from beneath her lycra-bundled cleavage.
“Well…hm…I might have been a little delirious from the adrenaline, but after we made it out of there, I just….my dreams couldn’t be limited that night—let’s say that instead, hehe!”
The second he closed his eyes to beam up at her, Yoosung was shoved roughly onto his back. In seemingly fluid motion, she’d removed her panties and shoved the waistline of his pants and boxers down so that the night air contrasted sharply with the heat of his erection as it sprang free.
“You have a lot of nerve to be so cute when I’m like this right now!”
Yoosung couldn’t help giggling at her frustration as she hissed, standing over him as the wind ruffled the skirt dangerously higher. Even as a passing cloud partially obscured the moonlight, he knew her face was aflame with embarrassment. Not even her glowering managed to stop his laughter; she turned away from him, and Yoosung was sure she was pouting.
He stopped laughing when she suddenly lowered herself and slid over his shaft, choking and hissing as she ground mercilessly while leaning on his thighs for leverage.
“Hahh—honeyyy, I—gah! Can’t see your face…nnghh!”
“We’re here to stargaze, so look up and hoo…hmph! Enjoy them!”
Yoosung realized far too late that he had made a losing gamble—the gentle, gradual pace that would normally have served them both during foreplay was nowhere to be found. The frantic, intense rhythm employed here was meant to wreck him and wreck him quickly: this was retaliation in the form of sweet torture.
Another bank of thin clouds drifted over the moon, sheathing them in diffused light and shadow; the stars seemed to twinkle a little brighter in response, and as Yoosung chanced a glimpse downward, he caught the reflected light in the most unexpected places. If the stardust had settled into the sheen of perspiration over their exposed skin like a fine powder, then it appeared that fragments of starlight had broken off and caught in his beloved’s hair as it wildly tossed about in the breeze as she threw her head back.
He snapped his gaze back to the heavens, biting down hard on his lip lest his punishment conclude too quickly.
It was a fool’s bet, to be sure; even if he didn’t see every graceful movement in vivid detail, the melodic straining of her voice as she sought her own pleasure with his body worked him closer to dizzying completion—in addition to the flood of electric friction and heat melting his lower half, it was overkill.
As light began to prickle at the edge of his vision, Yoosung’s hands landed on her thighs. Sliding them up, he drew a low moan from her throat that quickly changed pitch until she was panting loud enough for his ears to burn; instinctively, his hands squeezed around her hips and she reared back suddenly.
“Dammit! I’m…I’m—ffuu—!”
Yoosung watched her come apart with rapt awe, breath coming in rasps as he felt the erratic pulsation over his member, hinting at the vehement quaking within her. When she fell forward on trembling limbs, muttering curses as she tried to control her breathing he turned his focus back to the sky and counted slowly until something occurred to him.
Looking back down, he confirmed that by some miracle and an ungodly amount of pre-cum pooling in his navel…he had yet to actually climax. Fumbling quickly in his coat pocket while she was distracted, he sheathed himself with a condom and wiped away the mess on his abs with a spare napkin. Slowly spreading her thighs apart, he removed himself from beneath her to adjust until he was kneeling low behind her.
Finally regaining some of her sense, the woman turned and narrowed her eyes as she spotted his blatant intentions with a begrudging smirk.
“…May I?”
“Fine…you win this time,” she conceded, attempting to raise herself on all fours before her legs spasmed and gave out, ‘…uh. Hold on, I think I should have—ah!”
Pulling her back against his chest, he held her close and sighed happily, aligning her thighs to rest upon his.
“It’s ok! It all feels like winning with you,’ he whispered, pecking her cheek; steadying her hips while she reached to spread herself open for him, ‘now let me take it from here and we can both look at the stars.”
The goal wasn’t to last long, just long enough to coax out the residual fluttering of her walls until her moaning was laced with contented sighs.
The goal took a quick detour when she bent over, shoulders shaking. Grabbing her wrists in alarm, Yoosung pulled back gently until he realized she was laughing openly between soft groans; straining to keep himself in check, he willed himself to speak.
“Don’t—ngh—tell me you’re ahh ticklish there now…?”
Reeling in the laughter to trickling giggles, she shook her head.
“Mm just thinking—I fell in love with the only man…nghhhh…hah…who can be so lewd and—ohh… so cheesy at the same time—mmn!”
Heart catching in his throat, Yoosung knew his time was up; closing his arms around her shoulders, he pulled them both back to the mat where he lifted his hips and eagerly pounded away until white lights burst behind his clenched eyelids, sinking back to the ground and slowly pulling out with a full condom.
They lay on their backs, loosely holding hands until breathing resumed normalcy. Studying the constellations above, the blonde felt his pulse slow and fall into sync, finally understanding in his heart how there was peace to be found in the quiet shadows—with the right company. Energy waning, he craned his head to check on his lover until a distinctive noise reached his ears.
Something was howling in the distance.
Despite being even more spent than he was, the woman sat up tensely.
“…I’m going to guess that wasn’t you…”
Yoosung chuckled, squeezing the back of her hand.
“Its fine, the sounded like it came from another—“
Another howl went off, significantly closer than the one before.
“Time to go!”
Scrambling to their feet, the setup was haphazardly rolled up and thrown in the trunk. Searching around for any stray trash they might have left, Yoosung began feeling in his pocket for the car keys.
“Honey, your panties…I can’t—“
“Sacrificed to the mountains, let’s go!”
The drive back home gave Yoosung plenty of time for contemplation. With the last vestiges of energy finally exhausted, his companion slept soundly in the passenger seat; noting the complete lack of restraint of her sprawling limbs, he tried not to let it go to his head but…he was very pleased with himself.
Though the night ended with a bit more adventure than bargained for, Yoosung chortled under his breath.
The nightmares and terrible flashbacks would now at least have a real contender to vie for the focus of a dream set against the quiet dark.

[Prompt - Secret]
[approx word count: 900+]
Yoosung hadn’t meant to make it a habit at first.
But once his fingers got reacquainted with a needle and thread, what was meant to be a simple repair for an unraveled seam accidently ended up with an addiction much like how an artist would pen their name alongside their creation.
Except in place of flowing script, a rather chubby star made of matching black thread now sat at the side seam of his girlfriend’s skirt.
Yoosung thought to explain the little flourish as though it was intentional—a technique to keep the seam from loosening again, which while true…was not a traditional use of cross-stitching. Well, not that he was aware of.
Yet when he returned it sheepishly, there was no chance to explain himself as she immediately plucked it from his hands and disappeared into the bathroom to try it on; an excited cheer sounded from the down the hall before spritely footsteps brought her back into his arms to plant rapid fire kisses along his face, effectively taking priority over any thoughts he’d had. And then, like a whirlwind, she’d swept up her belongings and flew out the door with a rushed farewell in hopes of catching the bus to her next meeting.
Once coherency was possible again he had thankfully landed on the couch, face stuck in a dreamy grin that only seemed to grow wider. It was only when his phone’s notification tone went off that he seemed to gather his wits.
<Just made the bus! Thanks so much for fixing my skirt, love! I don’t know what you did, but it feels like it definitely won’t tear again!>
‘Oh…she hasn’t seen it yet?’
Just as he was about to tap in a reply, his inbox went off twice with a photo notification following.
<Wait>
<Is this a star?!>
The image immediately heated his face, though Yoosung knew she hadn’t meant anything scandalous. It was one of her more dangerous qualities, not knowing how attractive she was—especially when adorably oblivious. In an attempt to get a decent view of the threading, the skirt was hiked halfway up her thigh and Yoosung had to take a deep breath while typing.
<Yes! But please, cutie! You’re in public, what if a pervert gives you trouble??>
He was exaggerating the threat a bit, but he didn’t want to admit the root of his concern was a bit more childish and insecure in nature.
All at once, the tiny itch in his chest was dispelled in an instant:
<If that happens…I’ll just have to become even bigger trouble, won’t I? ;) >
Sighing in exasperation, he’d chuckled after sending one last plea for her to be careful and put his phone back on the table. It had been one of his rare free days where it was just him and Lisa, who had already decided to fill her day with sunbathing in the same sunbeam as it moved throughout the afternoon.
Before, such a rarity would have guaranteed his locked position at his desk for days on end with minimal bathroom breaks and stockpiled junk food within arm’s reach at his computer. However, now he had goals to achieve and only half his vision, so Yoosung turned to examining his other domestic interests--partly to see what he was still capable of with his injury.
The other part…well, what right did he have to think about ring shopping if he hadn’t yet proved he could handle any chore?
So it came down to him, the small mending pile and Yoosung making a list of the color threads he would need to buy…
…
He came home with a handful of shiny embroidery thread spools, an embroidery guide, and a magnifying lamp.
No rip, split seam or loose hem stood a chance.
The next few weeks, as each garment was reintroduced to their daily rotation, Yoosung waited for the triumphant texts as another hidden embellishment was discovered and sometimes photographed for proof. The scavenger hunt became their private little game, and he was all too eager to soak up the praise for a job well done; the compliments upon his more advanced stitches filled his face with a flush of pride, reassuring him that he was adjusting well with his skewed perception.
At some point, however, a theme was noticed.
<So is this your way of saying which clothes you like best on me?>
Yoosung stared at the message one day, thoroughly confused.
<??>
<All your clothes look nice on you, honey…what do you mean?>
He was walking down the pattern section at the craft store when the text vibrated his phone.
<All the threadwork, they’re stars, right? I thought you were marking your favorites or…>
<…are you marking my clothes as yours? Lol>
Heat filled his cheeks—had he been tagging her belongings with his namesake out of a subconscious desire to claim her somehow? Like some elaborate juvenile vandal?
He immediately picked up a few stitch pattern tutorials to narrow down a suitable emblem, pausing only to snicker at the captioned image of the falling stars along the elastic band of thigh high stockings:
[ Is this ‘Property of Yoosung’ too? Because I agree, I think you can pull it off well…]
In the following weeks, tiny silver crescent moons joined the secret stars as a completed motif –because one would never truly be without the other.
Yoosung only wished he had been careful enough to avoid being banned from any further needlework until after his exams were completed…due to the amount of pinpricks he’d suffered while amending his alterations.
