So I can’t get Blue Bennings pressured into sex worker while working as a stripper out of my head. Dehumanized by his boss and the clientele enough he starts to believe he’s just a set of abs and no good for anything else, the money is good and it helps his momma so he really has no justifiable reason to stop. Until he saves a life, meets his father and brother, and for the first time has a calling. He’ll be a firefighter. He can leave his past behind.

The months as a firefighter pass. He’s passed his test and the dust has settled with his new family, a new foundation of trust building. Sunday lunches with the Harts. Saving lives as a firefighter. Moving into a new place and finding independence.

One day, on a call in downtown Nashville a voice calls out, “Bennings that you?” A man appears out of the crowd, his smile is sharklike and he’s taking advantage of the fact they didn’t wear turnouts for this call, just tshirt and suspenders in the blazing sun, his hands are on Blue’s bicep, his shoulder, his hair. And Blue is rigid. His eyes are unseeing and he’s tensing up more with each touch. The man’s tone is sharper, accusatory, “…a new firefighter costume? Working for someone else huh?” When Ryan appears at his side asking who his friend is.

“Oh this is—”

“I’m an old friend of your boy here.” He is still touching him. Blue’s mouth is shut and he winces when his bicep is squeezed again.

Don appears over Ryan’s shoulder, asking what the hold up is. He says something in Blue’s ear that the others don’t catch, Ryan later will swear he heard something about his ass and the going rate, then he steps back with a flourish. “Don’t want to step on your toes gentlemen.” He nods to Don and steps away.

Everyone has gotten back in the rig but blue is still standing there on the sidewalk. He barely acknowledges Ryan when he drags him back to the rig. He doesn’t taste anything when they get him to eat dinner.

But Blue does start to tell Ryan about it that night in the bunk room. Once he starts talking he can’t stop.

Now you chose your own adventure if this started while he was a teen, just trying to make ends meet for mama and the worst was done to him… idk if that’s too sad. This is still kind of half baked but I think Ryan don and Blythe would be so protective and supportive.
