Dance world
Being a dancer is one of the greatest things ever. It's a gift that God has blessed me with and I love it so much. When I dance, I get to be who I am; free, fun, outgoing, silly, and happy. Dancing makes me feel like I can conquer the world; it's a feeling that it's overall unexplainable. However, sometimes being in the dance world tends to obstruct your state of mind. I began dancing because its where I felt the happiest as a little girl and it was such an amazing feeling to just move and jump and groove. But, after a while I had forgotten why I began dancing in the first place. The many thoughts and views of the dance world and other dancers began to take over who I was and what I represented as a dancer. Competition, jealousy, arrogance, fame, etc. begins to influence you and slowly takes over the real why you dance. For a while, that's how I thought. I wanted to be the best dancer ever and thought about what my big break would be, and we have to win first place at competition. Everything that wasn't me, started to represent me and recently God put something in my heart. None of that matters to me, I needed to go back to being humble and dancing for fun. Dancing because it was a safe haven for me. Not because I wanted to be better than someone else. I don't care about any of that. I just want to Dance...forever.
