Limetti is a very smart student, with high grades. He is rich and he lives with his wealthy family but he hates people and the life, which for him is useless and meaningless. The day of his birthday he decides to go on the university roof and jump in the deep end. But just as he is on the edge, he feels himself grasped and pulled back. Is Hindbær, the mostly cheerful and popular student of the istitute, who lives alone and although difficulties he loves life and faces it. For Hindbær is love at first sight, dazzled by Limetti's beauty and depth and the two became friends, then lovers, although the initial Limetti's hatred and hostility.
