So, for the first part. yeah! the fanfic’s title is inspired by the musical “Chicago”, specifically the song “We Both Reached For the Gun” (is a banger please listen to it)

for context! what the song is about is propaganda, and I mean LITERAL propaganda. And make no mistake: she did use a weapon, she did kill her husband, but she did not fight over any gun.
She just murdered him.
But together with the man singing the piece, she attempts to use that very same song to convince everyone that she acted in self-defense.
Which…is why I used this song as title for my fanfic.
