I apologize for not living up to your standards of a young black woman.
Apparently, since I talk like I’ve been educated for fourteen years ( because I have ) and I don’t throw a fist at the sight of another young woman I do not enjoy, I'm classified as a white girl.
Darling, take a glance at me, I’ve got the skin tone, curl pattern, and background of a young black woman.
Oh, since I do not wish for those new Jordan’s or since I'm not from “the ghetto side” of town you say?
Well, Eastside or Westside makes no difference to me and frankly I do not worship shoes. That’s silly.
So now I do not dress like a black girl, Well, describe to me how a “black girl” dresses. To be honest, style is something that varies from person to person. Express yourself, not your race.
My final point, “Oreo” Black on the outside, white within. The comment I hate the most is “You're white on the inside” Well excuse me, you cannot even begin to describe my “inside” You do NOT know my inside nor will you EVER, thanks to that comment. I am human, just like everyone else! It shouldn't matter what I am on the inside or out. Regardless, I AM HUMAN. Just like you, but once again..
I apologize for not living up to your standards of a young black woman.
I am only living up to mine.
