yeah! i can hear maura and regina when you guys roleplay. that's so rare to find. and i see you guys talking out of character all the time and you're just adorable! you should totally be a thing.

( That's probably one of the nicest things I've ever heard. I'm always afraid I'm not doing well playing Maura and reading that was just really nice. We talk ooc all the time because we're good friends. She's my buddy. :3 )

crash and burn

Maura quickly gathered her things from her office, heading down to her car. She checked the time, seeing she was already a few minutes late for her evening with Regina. She sat in her car, buckled her seat belt and quickly sent a text to the brunette. 'Sorry I'm late. Leaving work now. I'll be home soon.' Starting her car, Maura set the phone in her purse and began driving home. She knew Regina would understand her being a little late, so she knew there was no need to drive faster than normal.

She stopped at a stoplight, letting out a sigh as she waited for the light to turn green. Once it did, she began driving. Her car was in the middle of the intersection when she saw a light to her left. Glancing over, she saw headlights the second before they slammed into her car. The last thing she remembered was seeing the road upside down as her car flipped. Then everything was black.

-Her body was rushed into the hospital on a stretcher, doctors running around her as she was pushed into an elevator. "Female. Age 36. She was in a severe car crash. The car flipped, we had to cut her from from it. Compound tib/fib fracture on her left leg. We need to get her to CT for a head, neck, chest, abdomen, and pelvic scan."

The scans were done and she was rushed to the OR. "She has three broken ribs, lacerations on her abdomen and a piece of glass pierced her liver. We need to get it out and fixed, STAT." The surgery was going well but things quickly went downhill. "She's going into V-fib. Start CPR. I need the paddles. Charging. Clear! It didn't work. Charge again. Clear! She's back to normal sinus rhythm. Finish up and get her to the ICU.-

Hearing the steady beep of the machines around her, Maura slowly opened her eyes. They quickly shut due to the bright light. She groaned but it was muffled slightly by the tube down her throat. Her eyes opened again, glancing around to see she was in a hospital. Her whole body ached, but she calmed herself down when she really realized where she was.
