OH MY GOSH!! I'M A YOUTUBE PARTNER!! A DREAM COME TRUE!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!🥹💜🥳
Exciting times. 👀👀👀👀
I genuinely didn't think this would happen until waaaay further down the line, so I cannot express my surprise and excitement at having this dropped on me yesterday. Thank you all so much for your support so far!!! 🥺
In celebration, I even prepared a very special video, which I was working on all day yesterday.
:)
Thank you all for your continued support 💕
Just Having Fun Trying to make it 💛
Hey. I wanna meet the criteria for the partnership program and would really appreciate it if you could give me a follow. I understand my content isn’t that interesting to those in the wrestling community but it would still be appreciated ❤️
In light of the YouTube Partner Program changes...
Hey guys. If you hadn’t already heard, YouTube is changing its eligibility requirements for the YouTube Partner Program. Any YouTube user with less than 1000 subscribers and 4000 watched minutes over the past 12 months will lose their eligibility to monetize their videos.
As with most (all?) of YouTube’s policy changes, the reaction amongst its community is divided. I’m not here to give my stance, however, I’m here to ask a favour.
I have the 4000 watched minutes and then some (thank you!!), but I am currently sitting just shy of 1000 subscribers at 978. Therefore, I received an email from YouTube this morning informing me that I will no longer be eligible to be part of the YPP if these requirements are not met by February 20th.
I only need 22 subscribers to keep monetization active on my channel. Could I ask you to please consider subscribing to my YouTube channel so I may keep my YPP eligibility please?
I admit that I haven’t made much use of my channel for some years now. But if you guys would be so kind as to do me this favour, I promise to produce video content worth your time to show my gratitude.
Thanks so much for taking the time to read this message! Hope you’re doing well, guys. <3
heyo pals i uploaded a new vid! i just meant to keep documented the changes in my channel a month after (from when i recorded the vid; now it’s been two months and everything i said in this video still stands) the youtube partner programme changes.
i hope this is somewhat entertaining, even though i am aware it is mostly me keeping it documented. if you have anything to say on the matter feel free to <3
“Dear @YouTube Apparently you've forgotten what the "You" stands for. YouTube grew out of people contributing content to the service, Google helped creators thru monetization. Now you shift away from what made YouTube a success? Unbelievable. #YouTubePartnerProgram #YouTube”
So yeah, if you own a small YouTube channel prepare your butt for losing any revenue from created content. I’ve been watching YouTube slowly shift into this mess for a couple years now, its sad to think that something that was once mutually beneficial has more or less eroded into actual humans who put heart into what they make getting nothing from advertising while algorithm generated pregnant elsa spiderman garbage keeps on truckin’
Youtube’s at it again
Youtube’s now decided that anyone under 1000 subscribers and under 4000 hours of watchtime in the past 12 months is now “not eligible for monetisation”.

This is absolute bullshit, for many reasons I shall now list:
Some people depend on YouTube monetisation for a small amount of revenue. Even $20-30 of revenue can mean a student can afford meals for the week or even just contributing to new, better equipment to improve their content and grow their channel.
Another attack on animators. The algorithms on that website cater to videos over 10 minutes long, so animators (and by extent, musicians, ytp creators, etc) will take another blow from the website, since they can’t even monetise the little views they do take in. This can be extremely demotivating, as that small bit of revenue could be the thing that gets them through the week.
Hurting YouTube as a company themselves. This will turn away so many budding creators that would initially be the future of the website as they get turned away for not being all that popular. Existing, popular channels won’t be around forever. Just because AmazingPhil has been been around since 2006, doesn’t mean every single other YouTube channel will.
Here are a few tweets that cover some other stuff:
