Hikaru’s Hebephrenia (men’s mental health awareness month art)

What is Hebephrenia?

Hebephrenia is a form of chronic schizophrenia involving disordered thought, inappropriate emotions, hallucinations, and bizarre behavior.

What does the art have to do with Hebephrenia?

Showing the mind of Hikaru, hallucinations and expressing emotions at inappropriate times. These emotions can range from aggression, sadness, shyness and anxiety. Either lashing out at others he talks to, feeling guilty for a small incident, staying silent when asked extremely personal questions or getting defensive when others are talking from a far. Not to mention the fact that there are episodes to his strange behavior, checking his surroundings and making sure no one knew who he was before dissipating into John’s shadow. He may be a powerful demon but he is a mysterious demon to be with.
