I have gotten a lot of followers compared to when I started and I'm very thankful for all of them, but I've noticed that my posts have not been gaining much attention and is far from what I expected. Is this normal? Thank you in advance 😭
Hey there, pal! So, I can definitely get where you’re coming from. I’ve been very fortunate to be followed by quite a few people, but to answer your question: Yes, honestly, it is normal.
I think I had like 800 followers at one point and one of my posts got like...12 notes. And even now I don’t think I get more than like 80+ notes on my stuff within the first week of me posting it. And I think the best thing you can do, if you really want to get your posts out there is just check your activity. See when people are reblogging the most from you and schedule your posts then. Don’t be afraid to reblog your own stuff, either. I know you’re probably doing it already, but tag your stuff too. Tbh the more tags the better :D (Lowkey I always read peoples tags I love seeing what you got to say about stuff)
But I think the most important thing is to just be patient, honestly? Your posts aren’t always going to get 100+ notes, people, in general, can be super fickle about when and what they reblog. Just keep at it, please do not be discouraged and just try to enjoy yourself! If you are happy with your content, be your own biggest fan! Be proud of what your work and in the end, that’s the best thing you can do for yourself!
