Ystilo Salon's 14th Year Anniversary with Gary Sun

Ystilo Salon was founded on August 8, 1999 by Vina Morales, Frederico Moreno and Sheila Magdayao-Moreno and the first branch was at Fairview, Quezon City.

Now, Ystilo just recently celebrated their 14th year anniversary with 21 branches nationwide. Along with this, Ystilo Salon's family also continues to grow and the latest addition was Mr. Gary Sun, Hong Kong's Renowned Stylist.

Ystilo held a two-day event as a part of their anniversary celebration where Gary Sun shared his knowledge and showcased his hair styling skills so the salon's Senior Stylists can learn skills from him and also be inspired, according to Ms. Vina Morales. This was held at Club Filipino, Greenhills, San Juan last August 21-22.

I'm so glad to be invited on the last day of the event where Mr. Sun showed his hair styling skills in the Avant-garde Category. Here are some photos from the event and some facts about Mr. Gary Sun:

Mr. Sun skyrocketed to the top in Hong Kong fashion circle after being held champion in the Avant-garde Category of Hairdressing in 2002.

Since then, he has consistently amazed the Hong Kong's Fashionistas with his works in salons like Triple Edge-Hair and Le Salon Orient. He also made it to international fashion shows staged by Gucci, YSL and Barney Cheng apart from his print exposures in ELLE, B International, Ming Po Weekly, Apple Daily, City-the official publication of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council.

Tadaaaa! This was the first look he styled, too bad we have to leave early for the Uniqlo Press Preview I blogged about here. But just this one look made me admire him and his very keen skills. The model is now very magazine editorial ready! I know Ystilo would grow more with his help.

More good news! Ystilo is also pleased to announce that apart from their salon expansion in the Philippines, the company gears up for franchising abroad. A grand re-launch this year is set as they go beyond the tagline, "Go for the great salon experience".

I also had the chance to meet Vina and her little girl, she was very accommodating and really had a lot of interesting things to share. She sat besides me along with the bloggers and consistently shares information about the event and Ystilo which was really very helpful. I was also so inspired by how she manages to juggle everything in her very blessed life.
