Listen. This match was cathartic in the anime for me. Not only Fuji was always my favorite character, Kirihara had been a dumbass kid 99% of the time at this point, he had physically harmed several players including Yuta aka Little Fuji and Rikkai was winning, they needed to win this match. And yes, it was one of the most entertaining matches in the series objectively (probably why it’s been remastered) but also it was SO cathartic in so many levels that Fuji just annihilated him. You grow to like Rikkai later on but man, I wanted them dead at this time. 

Chinapuri delivered 10000% and their cast was so well picked, I can’t even describe it. I wish they do a season for Nationals because this is just *chef’s kiss* prime tenipuri content.
