Meet Anna Yuryevna Kikina
On the 29th of October Roscosmos presented their new group of test Cosmonauts and remarkable one of them was a woman. Meet Anna Y. Kikina, a 28 year old engineer from the third largest city of Russia (Novosibirsk). Six years age she graduated with honors from the Novosibirsk State Academy of Water transport. In her free time she practises rafting and skiing.
At the moment she is a "test cosmonaut", which means that she is in basic cosmonaut training, but not yet selected for any missions. If she passes her training she will be the second women in the Russian cosmonaut team, together with Yelena Serova, who will fly to the station next year. Anna is one of the eight cosmonauts selected through the first open selection of Roscosmos.
