OK but listen what if this entire time we been dealing with are clones, the first shiro was a clone, now this one is a new clone, the galra trying to perfect him into a weapon they wanted as Hagga once said. and the real shiro been dead for a long time now after fighting so much in the ring? He had his arms when he fought that first monster so it must had been some point later he got it cut off. So thats why the black lion doesn't close this shiro cuz all this time, they are all clones.
hmmm if that’s the case though, I wonder why she accepted Shiro the first time around?? If he was just another clone, I’d find that hard to believe? Especially given the old Voltron comic where Blue rejects Sven because he’s under galra mind control; I felt like that’s sort of what’s going on here, so I don’t think Black would accept Shiro if she thought he was already under galra control.
I was also under the impression that Operation Kuron was a project they never completed before Ulaz helped Shiro escape. In that flashback, we see Shiro back on the operating table, and he says “You took my hand! What more do you want?” So, we know this isn’t about his galra tech arm. There’s something else they wanted to use him for, something they never got to finish. Personally, I believe that was the cloning process.
And I think this is even foreshadowed when, immediately following this flashback, we switch from Shiro’s pod to Prorok’s transformation. Almost like we’re getting a glimpse at what’s in store for Shiro
Especially considering how similar this looks to Kuron’s own pod
