her parents are fast asleep in a far part of the house, leaving areum and soojung enough room to socialize around a warm fire in her father’s lounge / library where the floor is dug out in front of the fireplace and filled with comfy pillows and blankets. in her hand, sits a glass half full of wine and by her side, sits her friend soojung who’s decided they need a night to destress.
areum never usually drinks, so the wine is hitting her harder than she supposes she’d like it too. she slows down her sips, looking at soojung and letting out a small sigh. “ thanks for coming over, ” areum muses before taking another small sip of her drink before swirling it around in the glass. “ i really would lose my sanity if i didn’t have nights like this.” areum stretches her legs and smiles. “ how’ve you been, by the way ? ”
