1: What inspired you to write the fic this way?

my laziness 😳

no but i'm a big believer in straightforwardness and getting to the point when i write, and since i knew i'd have to talk about events occurring over a long period of time, it just made sense to select those that were important and jump time between each one

and since i'm a big believer in bringing things back to the beginning too, i just had to end it this way 😌

14: Is there anything you wanted readers to learn from reading this fic?

1. that calgary sucks

2. that being in a relationship is hard work i guess??? it's pretty ironic considering that i don't do relationships myself BUT this is also relevant for friendship, and the zouis and narry scenes in this fic actually deal with that too

HELLO all of that sounds wonderful!!!!!!!!! i've been good writing a lot for this one fic also cooking/baking & reading & trying 2 make friends + seeing old ones :-) have fun at the concert stay safe mwah <333

thats wonderful and tbh i can say ive been doing the same!! trying to make music moves recently by having band rehearsals but omggg it so so nerve wracking because i never know when i'll be off work. hopefully i can join my fave music program (with the adults) soon but until then waaaaa

and ive been writing as well!! nothing im unashamed of unfortunately because ive been Acting Up but i did write something that im somewhat proud of recently.

seeing friends is another thing it is gonna be so great once im recovered from my second dose to hang out in my groups and enjoy my time with them.

and yes i will be safe during the concert! mask on always broski! ily sunny im so happy for u

1. what is your favorite fic that you have written and why? 

give me your heart! at the time of posting it was the longest fic i’d ever written and i had no plans for it to go over 10k, let alone almost reach 20k. i really like how i incorporated parts of zayn’s culture into it because most fics don’t. i’m desi myself so being able to write about something close to me and that connects us made me really proud of the story and myself. 

i also have great memories of working on it because of how easily the story came to me. i wrote it faster than any other fic i’ve published so i’m especially pleased with how it turned out exactly the way i wanted it to.

2. what are your favorite tropes to read/write? 

found family, friends to lovers, mutual pining, and meeting the family! 

3. what are you most excited for about your fright fest fic? 

i think it’s quite funny and silly. along with romance i focused a lot on friendship so there’s a found family aspect which was fun to develop. i’ve always wanted to write that trope so i’m glad i not only included it but had it be one of the core elements of this fic. there’s also a lot of love and warmth in the story and i found comfort in this while writing so i hope readers feel the same :-) 

4. Can you give any spoilers about your fright fest fic? 

there’s a strong zouis friendship which i think people will appreciate 💖
