Zap Zap Math was a hit with the #fourlittletesters, and we certainly believe it will appeal to parents everywhere, and should be on every child’s device, to productively pass the time, when they just want to play games.
Finn was up first and choose the ‘alien in a robot’ avatar. He took his time and chose the Name 'Swift Dino' He started off with the pre-school level, and found this pretty easy as expected, He won a star, and enquired on what this meant and we quickly worked out that you could unlock a number of stars for each level, and then a mass a higher score multiplayer. Finn liked all the bonuses and the fact that you were given a cool 'rank' name. Finn often counted out loud and with his fingers, to help with the more complex sums with 2 or 3 numbers to add or subtract.
Finn liked all the characters and the sound effect, especially the ‘yay!’ Once completing the first few levels he was keen to advance to the next Learning Solar System. Finn especially liked the exploding aliens, to get from 10-1s, and 100 -10s. Finn took great pleasure exploding all the numbers into 1's until they overflowed off the screen. some of the levels and games proved a little tricky as were areas that Finn was not as familiar, and the coloured Orb level especially confused him.
Poppy ventured out using the same profile as Finn, and proceeded to the pre-school level, which she found easy. Poppy moved to explore the different Solar Systems and chose Geometry...oops was a bit too hard, and I had to help out. Poppy moved back to Addition & Multiplication a few times and definitely liked loading the aliens onto the shuttles and found the sound effects fun.
Poppy also really loved the exploding counting, and played these levels the most. Unlike Finn who systematically progressed through the learning Poppy next tapped ‘Time’, and really enjoyed these, which surprised me. The last level that Poppy played was ‘Measure’, where she had great fun with the UFO rescues.
