What if the ego's too big?
“If the ego’s too big...”
“Tame it. Dominate it. Top it. If you are an adult, there are no problems with me showing them their place.”

His words are interesting, the flirtation clearly under question but if she wished to have him accompany her in the future, he had to be more eloquent in his speech, much bolder. And she stepped forward, giving him a charming smile and placing her gloved hand to his chest, pressing on where his heart is and her gaze softened, a pretty showcase of her acting talents. Ah, Sigmund was pretty handsome, no one would think her standards went down. “If you wish to flirt with me, make sure to sweep me off my feet, Sigmund. Eyes on me, words bolder and shameless, a hand around my waist, whisper them in my ear.” Zarina just had to step up her game here just because she was a gremlin and wanted to see how he’ll react.

It was almost hilarious how every single person around her was against alliance with Solomon. Well, specifically, her alliance with Solomon. She was a human with no special powers outside her dashing looks and wonderful perosnality (both which must be read with thick sarcasm). The ash-haired woman continued to dance around the subject until Diavolo made it understood that he is not like other demons who she could twirl around and change the subject, a bit of a shame but then again: the prince of Devildom was not someone she’d like to agitate.
“He’s hot, what can I say?” A partial jest and a partial acknowledgment of her attraction to the sorcerer was evident in the way she continued to smile pleasantly in the face of the prince. Zarina was honest, even if it was a joke, for she didn’t wish to be impaled or killed or burnt into ashes on this very same spot. Assuming Diavolo could sense her lying, Sokolova decided it’d be the best approach not to get herself a ticket to immediate death and explain herself. “He’s also a fellow human, Lord Diavolo. I don’t think it’s hard to understand why I’d prefer his company in some situations.”
It was understandable why others would be concerned or not happy with Solomon’s presence, but it tickled her pride a bit to know her hanging out with Solomon was not making some demons happy. Or was it an assumption? Who knew. Sokolova had her own reasons to hang out with the wizard, reasons that only she thought of and never shared with anyone else for they were purely selfish and based on her theories. It was self-interest. A tango they danced round and round, keeping on each other’s tiptoes.
“If we’re talking about more in-depth aspects, I assure you there are no big plans against you or anyone around. I’m not dumb to try and turn the tables on demons who obviously can snap my spine in half,” a shrug followed as Sokolova laid back on the couch, looking up at the ceiling. She had the audacity to ask for a knife from the prince before and even wine, her ballsy nature was already known, but Zarina also knew when to draw a line. “I understand that my death is not great for anyone, but accidents can happen. I learned from my mistakes not to get my nose into some aspects of Devildom, but with how things go around here? Even angels seem suspicious. That’s why I go to him when I’m bored.” Or had questions. Or wanted to be pampered just a bit. Or wanted to ask for good book recommendations. The list could go on.
“He lets me feel a sense of independence and freedom when in the House of Lamentations, I must be following a specific set of rules. Understandable, of course. Can’t blame Lucifer when I’ve caused some trouble out of pettiness.” Zarina laughed as she once again got up and normally sat, crossing her legs and giving the prince a small smile border lining on a smirk. “If you wish to speak to me more often, Lord Diavolo, you should say so. I assume you’re busy and never request the audience with Your Highness.”
Switching back to the usual jester state, Sokolova bowed slightly to hope for the conversation about her preferences to be over.
sb: you’re attractive/pretty/beautiful. zarina: duh, I know I am.
