Day 21/78
English language exam revision- also know as death by highlighters

Today has been a really good day! We didn’t have any lessons today because we had our Eisteddfod and even better than this: MY HOUSE WON THE WHOLE COMPETITION. As such, I’m feeling very patriotic towards my house hence the green ribbon.
Some new Zebra Kirarich Highlighters that I ordered also arrived today and I’m absolutely loving them. If you have used them before I seriously recommend!!!
Some gorl doodles
Ok guys, college has started for me. You may have noticed that my blog has run entirely on queue for the last week and a half… Sorry about that, but it had to be done. I’m in a very new, Socratic based, great-books honors program and I’m going to have my first honors seminar today. I already have homework that I haven’t finished for it, and homework from yesterday’s classes that’s due tomorrow, so I’m thoroughly swamped by the first Tuesday. Here in this picture you can see how I spent my evening, with two other honors students doing our homework for today, which is Genesis 1-3. The others are both done. I’m… not. Apparently I ask too many questions about the text and spend too much time on them. “Does water decay?” is a good example. Asking the big questions up in here yo… But unfortunately that takes time I don’t have, so I’ll have to learn to temper my questions with speed. My study style in honors is to highlight the text with my three Zebra highlighters: pink for personal favorites to come back to in my own time, mint for thesis statements in text, and grey for important words or quotes. I then write a few key notes in sticky notes and slap ‘em on there, and then write up everything else I want to say in my journal. Now the journal is a special moleskin that I received from the head of the program himself last week, and it’s for all notes I take in this class. No devices allowed! At “key points in the semester” my journal will be taken by the professors for evaluation/grading, and it counts for a pretty substantial part of my grade. No pressure! So that’s the story behind my study space here from last night.
