walking her home after they had gone out for dinner, aaron slipped off his jacket, placing it over her shoulders. looking down at zelda and stuffing his hands into his pockets, he smiled. " you know, this might seem a little out of the blue but... i'm really glad we met you. me and peter. "
&& Have I told you today how much I love Zelda? || @likecottxncandy & Aaron.
♕ Zelda never really felt cold often. Usually Dimitri was with her, and the pack, and their heat radiated around her, so the little bit of cold she got--she never minded. But she took his jacket with a smile, nudging him softly, before threading her arm though his, walking close together with him so that he could stay warm as well. “I’m glad you had a good time.”
♕ She doesn’t get fazed when he speaks, instead she sighs. Stopping at the side door, the entrance to the house. Dimitri and Sam are probably upstairs, but that doesn’t bother her. Not even when she see’s Dimitri poke his head out the window at the sounds below. He gives her a look but she doesn’t say anything as she steps into Aaron’s space. “I’m glad we met too.” And she can’t help but to wonder if this is the right thing. If this is the right choice.
♕ The last time she barely knew anyone before--ended up with her married, miscarriaged, then divorced in that order. It was a marriage within two weeks of knowing them. And sure she’d known Aaron longer--and Aaron had the cutest son Zelda had ever seen, she just felt so safe around him. Sure he had a sordid past, she wouldn’t be Zelda if she didn’t already know, but she knew he wouldn’t hurt her. He was soft for someone whose been to jail, and he was as good of a father as he could be.
♕ He could have easily abandoned Peter, he could have easily giving the boy no attention, not really paid attention to him. But if Aaron did anything, it was try. That was what Zelda loved. That he always tried, that he was kind, and good. Even amongst the sordid past, there was more good to Aaron than anyone would think. Now... all he needed was a hair cut. But she smiles and steps even closer into his space, fingers twisting into the fabric of his shirt.
♕ She doesn’t say much as she steps onto her tip toes, pressing a gentle kiss on his lips. It’s not much, not passionate, not long and lingering. It is a press of their lips, and it is over nearly as quickly as it starts, before she’s on the flats of her feet and standing a few steps away holding out his jacket for him to take. “I hope we do it again some time.” She tucks a lock of hair behind her ear.
