What's your opinion on the differences between new and old 3an Guo based off of what's aired so far? I like some of the changes here and there, but not all obviously. I feel like some of the actors look "older" in the new version, but that could be due to the makeup and clothing since the setting isn't exactly the same.

Also, you wrote Gou Zhui as 1,100 when I think you meant 11,000 because after him you wrote about Ding Dang at 5,300 being the weakest.

So then Xiao Ci is about 10 years older than her boyfriend and all her new friends from Zhong Ji Yi Ban. Okay. Man, why do the writers do this...

Well on the bright side, she certainly doesn’t act like it. I don’t actually know if she is canonically 10 years older because the writers never mentioned her age, but logically in theory she is 10 years older.

Ah, okay, thanks for the clarification! And for the lookalike situation, I meant like how Jiro Wang always has two characters from the same dimension and yet the two aren't twins, unlike how Jack Na plays twins for the most part. Although, the age thing is interesting. Hmm... Wait, now I'm confused on the ages of Ah Xiang, Lei Ting, and Xiao Ci (when considering the placement of the different seasons in the timeline).

Jiro’s characters... are... weird....... Genetically, it’s practically impossible unless his two characters in the same dimension are closely related. However, if we want to talk about the genetic probability of appearances, the whole counterpart thing wouldn’t really make sense, so forget everything we know about biology and pretend like this all works out because of a certain leprechaun in the center of the Earth.

Ah Xiang is 18 in 3anguo and Lei Ting is 17/18 in Re-act; Re-act takes place 10 years after 3anguo, so Ah Xiang is 10 years older than Lei Ting. I think at the end of 3anguo it was explained that Ye Siti found out about his identity around the time of Ah Xiang or Sun Quan’s birth, so Xiao Ci is either a bit older than Ah Xiang or around the same age as Ah Xiang. (Since Remember says that it was Ye Siti himself who killed the original Sun family.)

Could you remind me if Gou Zhui was a resident of the Iron Dimension or if he just worked for Jiu Wu/Meng Zhu and was from a different dimension? Because if he's an Iron Dimension resident, then he's (also) in a lookalike situation with Cang Qiong. Although I don't know if that would really work since there's (possibly) a 10 yr difference between the characters.

Gou Zhui is from the Copper dimension and works under Jiu Wu because the Gou family has always been under the direct order of the Chief of the Iron Yi-Neng users alliance.

Age differences aren’t really accounted for in counterparts. For example, George Hu’s character in The X-Family is 200+ years old and his character in K.O.3an Guo is about 18 years old.

A lesson in that love, friendship, family (and music) are all important :D

To be honest I think the greatest “fate” thing between the ZJ series and I is that it came to me at the best timing. The X-Family, which is the drama that got me into the series, came out right when I lost someone in my family and it’s all about that family love. Then when I moved and lost many of my close friends, K.O.3an Guo came out and it’s so focused on friendship and love. I think that’s why these two dramas are forever legends in my heart.

I wasn't trying to point out that "super promotion" was the end goal. I get what your saying though and it actually enlightens me because I don't follow the media much. It's just that I remembered watching or reading somewhere someone saying that KO One was made for promoting Fahrenheit. As a viewer, I often thought of the series as just telling a story instead of a promotional tool after X-Family. Then the memory resurfaced and I gave it more thought, but I wasn't sure; that's why I asked.

It’s good. Comic is definitely not the only agency/production company that uses its productions to promote their artists, and honestly if you have the power and media outlet to do it, why the hell not? After all, viewership + popular artists = money money.

But as with all other dramas, nobody can deny that the work put into the dramas and that it became a big part of many people’s lives. No matter the intention then or the intention now, it definitely has become something bigger than just a “promotion.”
