LQE025: Zeraj Retalso
LQE025: Zeraj Retalso by Lqe Collective on Mixcloud
Who knew we’d hear such lovely future garage on the other side of the pond? Hailing from NYC, Zeraj Retalso has come up with this carefully crafted LQE025 mix of some great melodic and deep future garage tunes, perfectly adapted to the melancholy of these greying, shortening winter days.
Zeraj is also a fantastic producer, with tracks ranging from downtempo to garage to trance (pretty eclectic!). The mix itself focuses on his future garage background, with deep, rolling basses, punchy syncopated rhythms broken with nostalgic and ambient interstices. A couple tracks by Russian producer Volor Flex dominate the front end of the mix, with a very distinct pads that seem to replicate those found in some deep- or dubtechno (i.e. Recondite, Francis Harris, etc.)

Apologies on our end for waiting so long on our last LQE release, but we could always write it off as waiting for the right mix (or something cheesy along those lines). Hope you’ll enjoy the vibes as much as we did, happy winter!
