the unfortunate thing about being known as "the cloud of darkness mutual" among my peers is that ppl ask how I felt about the endwalker patches and i. cannot say good things

I WAS SO FASCINATED. up until i think 6.3#and then i just had a meteion despair moment#zero............u deserved better#im so sorry u and wuk lamat got written like that#sorry i just have beef with golbez i think he's such a poorly written character. ESPECIALLY COMPARED TO THE ORIGINAL#and im not a fan of how ffxiv's been doing this thing lately of “LOOK AT US REFERENCING X GAME.”#“YOU WOULD NOT CARE ABOUT X REFERENCE IF U DIDN'T PLAY THAT GAME”#what happened to playing smth like edens thats based off of 8 but still has enough of it's own story to make it fascinating#why are we getting characters like golbez or zelenia that literally don't matter unless you mybe played 4 or 9...#AND I LOVE 4 AND 9....BUT HOLY SHIT#i hate cheap references like that#sorry...i have not enjoyed xiv's writing post endwalker#and i feel bad bc they're such interesting plotpoints that get written so poorly
