Bakugou going out of his way to find clothing that perfectly matches yours is something that lives in my brain rent free. He'll brush it off as something you wanted to do that he just went along with, but in reality, he was the one to suggest getting matching pants that went with your skirt, all the way down to the fabric that was used to create it. So this may definitely be me projecting current feelings onto characters, but I headcanon that Bakugou eventually gets fucking tired of having to claw his way to the top despite being told all his life that he's such a natural hero, that he's so gifted, so talented, that he's going to be the best hero there ever was; he's exhausted of trying to prove to everyone and himself that he's the best--
And THAT is the reason he becomes a villain. If he can't be the best, he'll be damned if he can't be the worst in its place. So he becomes a notorious, impossible-to-capture villain. One who tears apart everyone who glorified him and praised him and pressured him to become something that crumbled away the second he arrived at UA.
