Ennek egyik előnye hasonló a réz felsőnyeregéhez - amit viszont jóval macerásabb elkészíteni -, nevezetesen hogy azonos lesz a pengetett hang akkor is, ha lefogás nélkül, nyíltan szól, és akkor is, ha lefogjuk. Van, akinek ez sokat számít. Ilyen nulladik bundos hangszerekhez készítettem felsőnyerget. Ezeknél az alkatrészeknél a húrmagasságot és a hangszínt nem, csak a húrok kiosztását határozzák meg a vájatok. * Mostly older guitars use zero frets. The one main advantage of this is similar of the brass nut - although that is much more complicated to craft . The plucked string have the same tone if played open, or fretted. Many musicians prefer this. I made some nuts for this type of guitars.
