In chapter 13 Zetsu’s able to bring clarity into Hidan’s question what might have caused the Akatsuki to fall into the habit of painting their nails. Maybe the clearest sign the emotional tension that build up over the last few chapters is finally about to lessen.

Chapter 04 of my Zetsu/Hidan fic is up. In it Hidan feels apathetic, Zetsu surprises himself by going into pragmatic directions fast and the only thing not radiating pain during times of melancholic recollection turns out to be an unspectacular meat dish of honestly no questionable origin at all.

The world clearly lacks enough Zetsu/Hidan fic, so I went and wrote some. Chapter one is up now, taking place in a canon divergent AU where after the Zombie arc had happened events went into a completely different direction.
