1: Made rubber ring chainmail

2: 3 D printed the gold parts and swap out the temporary one on the shoulder pieces.

3: worked out the kinks with the makeup

4. Redone the tail.

5: added dirt

6: made the fingernails

ZEVLOR COSPLAY HORNS

They are done!!!

After spending a LOT of time studying images and screen grabs of mine from various angles from the game. God bless modders and free cams! I have now managed to do my interpretation of Zevlor's horns.

In the past I would have sculpted these in Monster Clay and then moulded and cast in resin. However that requires two sculptures and they wouldn't buy symmetrical. And resin is heavy! If made too thin it can warp in the heat.

This time I used Blender to digitally sculpt a horn that I then mirrored for that perfect symmetry.

I started off with a basic shapes, then once I refined the shape that when textures and details were added.

Now I have to prep these to my print and I can get started on a headband/painting them up :D

Depending.on how wearable/good these turn out/easy to print.....I may offer blank kits for fellow Tiefling fanatics ....we will see.

Propmaker Vs Character Vs Cosplay.

I am so freaking tired. I have some stuff to alter, fix, repair etc for two weeks time.. I'm mostly happy with how it came out. Definitely need to make the red less intense 🤣

I had an issue on the day with the prosthetics. The glue wouldnt play ball and the heat in the hall affected the glue. Normally when I make them I make Encapsulated. Which give me a blending edge that melts away and you can't see the join. I ran out of time for mcm so had to make a straight silicone one. One side was an issue to hide the edge. So I did very stressed out about the issue I had with seam lines. I'm a bit of a perfectionist.

Hopefully in two weeks time at Liverpool Comic Con il have most of the stuff sorted so I can wear it again and not have the issues. 🤞🤞😀

Scales, scales and belt modelling.

It's all nearly done!!!

The scale parts need curving slightly.

The belt needs some sculpted details adding to it and curving slightly.

Then I can print!!!

HORNS AND TAILS

I made some changes to both the horns and tail.

I made the tail longer as when I printed a paper copy off of the first design....it was too stocky and short. The joy with a 3d model is you can alter it :D far easier than a clay sculpt.

The horns I made hornier and more angular. As I felt my first set weren't quite right. This is my interpretation of them and Zevlor's in game model.

We are currently printing the tail...though Adam, my OH had an issue with the scale...it messed up and the tail tip we printed was double the size it should be. We printed the tail tip on its own to check the scale before we start the other pieces. We had to break the tail into sections due to the shape of it. These sections will be glued together and sanded and then moulded.

The horns will be printed after in a filament called TPU for extra lightweightedness

ZEVLOR COSPLAY DIARY.

Imma call this Entry one on here 😅

I've just finished a rough paper pattern of the tunic part. I'm not sure how to scale this all is as well my proportions are very different to Zevlor's so some parts won't look as "accurate"

Next I need to make this up in plain fabrics to check the fit and proportion/layout of some parts.

Then I'll remake the final thing in a dark grey cloth and faux leather for the shoulder pieces.

I'll design and 3d print the scalemail and the chest parts/gold pieces.

I've also ordered a wig and wefts to get started on his hair.

And I've begun the work on his horns which I'll 3d print.

Once the wig has arrived and the horns are done I'll start the prosthetics for the face. I need the horns and wig first to work out where the prosthetics will end etc.

So my next step is to finish and print the horns. And then prosthetics, and design the belt, scalemail and gold pieces on the armour. Then the tunic itself! I'm trying to get in shape so I need to leave the actual clothes parts till as late as possible.

Zevlor Cosplay Diary

Tail time!!!

After deleting my first digital sculpt of the bloody tail 🤣, second time was the charm!

There's skin textures on this as it would look weird with none on it plus I'm detail orientated due to my job.

I'll be 3d printing this and then making a two part mould to eventually run the tail in silicone and foam . The tail will have a silicone skin, foam core and a wire to help keep the shape. I'll airbrush it for the different colours and yes I'll add the veins 🤣. I'll also be adding some scars to the tail as I believe Zevlor, like other artists have also done, would have scars from his battles in Avernus. I didn't add them to the digital sculpt as I'll be looking at selling these as generic made to order tiefling tails on my webstore..

I can't wait to get painting!!!!
