Zexal OCs Week - Day 7 (but I recover day 6)

I missed day 6 yesterday, so I decided to make it up today. If I remember correctly, the topic on Astrals and Barians was missing, right? @zexalocsweeek

So can I finally reveal Amira's secret to you? Oh, good.

Well, Amira comes into contact with the Astral energy and her healing powers come from that, in fact, both Kaito and Haruto seem to benefit from it more, even though it can be applied to anyone who suffers damage related to the use of external powers. (So then you're telling me it could cure Byron? Not exactly, since it's a corrupted body.)

At first we see her calmly seeing Astral, but at the same time Vector also plays with her, when he has control on her father. Later in Zexal II, she is the first to accept that Rio is actually a Barian and in fact, it seems she had already guessed it from her strange moments of absence earlier during the Mithyrian Numbers arc, but she keeps quiet for their own good.

But then, what is the secret?

Amira appears in another story of mine, but not as a human, just as Astral or rather, an Astral incarnation.

Below is the excerpt (from Vega's story):

“She’s a beautiful girl, or am I wrong, boy?” he whispered with a slight smirk on his face. “And her eyes are truly a sight to behold.”

“I-I don’t understand what you’re talking about,” Kaito said, averting his gaze. “I was just… thinking.”

"You'd better be very careful what your eyes see of this world," the incarnation of the old dragon whispered again.

“You don’t mind if we start now, do you, Mira?” Vega said, smiling.

"Not at all..." she smiled in turn and approaching Kaito, the blue-haired girl held out her right hand, where, between her fingers, she held a card; when he looked up at her, looking into her eyes for a moment his lips parted without speaking, as if the innocent smile she had shown him in that moment had silenced him. Or was it really the warning Jinlon had left him earlier? "I'm sure it'll protect you more than you think. I believe in you..."

In this scene Jinlong talks about the girl's eyes, while Vega calls her "Mira" as short name... Moreover, she herself seems very sure that Galaxy Eyes will protect him. But look what happens next, At the end of the duel, Amira and Kaito have a chance to talk alone and she reveals something important. Galaxy Eyes shines, she appears in front of Kaito and...:

"You're ‘him‚ ... right?" Kaito whispered seriously, pointing to the card, letting her smile back at him.

“You're insightful, I am honored to be your companion...” she whispered. "But I take it you're upset about this, well... actually, you and I are even closer than you think, you just can't remember it, after that time."

"It's as if we Galaxy Dragons were a key to getting to the bottom of this story. The key to discovering the truth about Altaïr and how to defeat him."

"I guess you want me to investigate this, but without involving the Barians, I suppose." Kaito smiled as she nodded. "Well, I also want to find out what's underneath all this, so don't worry, I'll help you. After all, I'm your Master, right Amira?"

"You're not doing this just for me, actually. There's something noble and profound that drives you to fight. I know you, and that's why I'm proud to be your dragon. I'll tell you everything I know, Master."

Amira says "you just can't remember it, after that time" precisely, as if she had met him (I won't hide from you that there is a theory later that will hypothetically explain why)

So, let's know Amira's Astral form... Also called Mira (from like anyone in the Astral world to refer to the star) as the constellation of the Whale or omicron Ceti. (In Vega's story, many characters have the names of stars, just like our 7 Barian emperors technically)

If you notice, the girl has some references to Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon (like scratches, taken from the dragon's wings) but also some details on her dress and hair (the red head, the tail, the color of the scales...).

Ending things off with a bang :3

Today being the last day of Zexal OC Week you'd think I'd do a nice little ending post for Wynn. Haha! Nope! ive been writing my yugioh bg3 au you guys are getting an angsty heroforge and the story that goes with it! I might be cheating again because this is technically a 5ds au but where Wynn goes, so does Kaito. And Wynn is still half and half in terms of which series he's an oc for so this is still a zexal oc post right?

I had a lot of fun doing Zexal OC week. I love getting an excuse to share and show off Wynn without feeling guilty over it. :D

Under the cut is where the meat of this post lies because it contains Baldur's Gate 3 Spoilers (kinda sorta at least), graphic descriptions of gore, and also blood!

Wynn is the son of Aki- a Bhaalspawn. And since Wynn's sperm donor was a Bhaalist (long story, but no SA was involved here dont worry), Wynn has a lot of the same murderous urges that his mother has. The same twisted mind.

And while Aki actively hated her urges and repressed them, Wynn... he didn't revel in them, but he saw how brutal repressing them made his mother, he embraced them. Only in battle, he would allow himself to be as brutal as he wanted, mutilating corpses into piles of viscera- so distinct that Yusei, who Wynn sees as his actual father, can recognize Wynn's gore at a glance.

And, in Bg3, if you play as a Dark Urge and reject Bhaal, he kills you and you're revived by Withers. And that happens here.... to Aki. Bhaal still sees value in his grandson. And it disgusts Wynn, He still has these broken urges and he knows he's getting worse and worse because Baldur's Gate doesn't have an abundance of monsters to tear to shreds within its city walls so there's nowhere for these depraved urges wynn is so used to letting out almost as soon after he gets them to go.

And when the party confronts Lorrokan (i spelled his name SO WRONG), Wynn snaps. And he tears him apart. Lorrokan doesn't stop screaming until Wynn tears out his throat with his teeth-and even then you don't know if he's dead or not.

The party only realizes Lorrokan's dead when Wynn stands, turns, and strikes Kaito across the face.

He would have gone further, if not for Kestrel (my oc, who is a Barbarian) and Yusei physically holding him back. And Wynn snaps out of it. And he is horrified at what he's done- depicted in the Heroforge up above. And he runs. and Kaito chases after him.

For a brief moment, Kaito sees Wynn for what he is- a monster. A ruthless, bloodthirsty, monster. But he does not care because he's a monster as well.

and its angsty and tragic but good news sports fans there is a happy ending! After the events of BG3, Kaito gets his hands on a Wish spell courtesy of his godly patron, Eilistraee (the goddess of good aligned drow). And he uses it to rid Wynn of his urges, to strip him of his divine heritage and make him, basically, no longer a half-bhaalspawn.

So it's a happy ending! Mostly! its bg3 so the party is still relatively traumatized despite having saved the Sword Coast but shhhh we dont need to talk about that <3

Hello hello, Ifinally decided to participate to the @zexalocsweeek and so… let's start with my first themed OC (the oldest one).

Let's start ~

Meet Amira Tomiya (for who already know her, you'll know her real last name, but no spoiler 👀)

Amira meaning "princess", "she that gives orders" or "commander” (from Arabic: عميرة) while her Mother’s surname seems to derive from a tattical change of their original surname by her great-grandfather ( “Satomiya” — from Japanese 里宮 )

Her age?

Amira is five years older than Yuma Tsukumo.

(So: Kaito’s the same age as her, IV is a year younger than her, V’s two years older than her, etc.)

What she looks like:

She has short hair, mostly black, slightly shaded blonde at the ends and green bangs, she has olive skin tone. Also, she’s very thin but athletic.

About her skin tone, Amira mother's family origins are partly Mediterranean and partly Japanese...

Curiosity about her: In the very first concept, Amira had blonde, hip-length hair and green eyes, with green streaks along her face (she looked a lot like a random Number Hunter), but later I gave her a drastic change. Partly cause it matched her more olive skin tone, and partly because she really did look like Kaito (no guys that drawing is horrible).

Her Life in Heartland City:

She works mainly for Dr. Faker and, to be precise, she is Kaito's only human assistant (and if we consider how he treats Orbital 7 well, poor lil girl…) as well as the “specialized medical team” for Haruto.

And when Faker says “Medical Team”, it's just her... and her power (but I'll tell you about it later, I swear).

Anything else to declare?

If we have to talk about her personality, well… after all, we're talking about a person who's next to Kaito, right?

If I had to describe her personality in a phrase, she’s “the void of space that hosts the explosion of a supernova.” And yep, the supernova is Kaito.

Growing up in an orphanage certainly helped her understand how to survive despite loneliness, pain, and having patience; she’s also proud and sometimes stubborn, especially when she duels, and has a very analytical mind (maybe she gets it from her father? Or maybe from her mother?)

Bonus:

Her dream’s to become one day a doctor, but not thanks to her powers, but thanks to her true abilities.

Zexal OCS WEEK: Day 2

Hi guys, here I am again… today I’m talking about Amira’s background, right?

Well, I'll try to pick out some plot points to get to know her better. @zexalocsweeek

[18 years earlier]

"She will survive. Even if I have to sacrifice myself. You can't stop me." —Tomiya Shiori

Eighteen years before the meeting of Astral and Yuma, the studies of the "genius of Heartland", Dr. Faker, were focused on the study of parallel dimensions but for useful and "good" purposes. such as the possible use of the recently discovered Astral energy as “renewable energy”.

And it’s precisely in his laboratory that, during an experiment, the body of Shiori Tomiya, his close collaborator, receives a discharge of "Astral" energy, compromising the stability values of her entire body. Faker is aware that the woman’s pregnant, (and yes, he’s also aware of being the father despite having a relationship and a child waiting for his wife) and tries to find a risk-free solution together with Byron Arclight, who at the time was already his frequent collaborator and the woman's best friend.

In a moment of desperation, Faker shows detachment towards the unborn child… creating a breaking point between him and the woman.

𓆩 ✧ 𓆪 [Early Years, the Orphanage, and the Birth of the "Seraphoton Aurora"] 𓆩 ✧ 𓆪

Amira's birth causes the inevitable worsening of Shiori's conditions and she will d13 within a month: Byron’s the only one who stays by her side until the end and the woman begs him to take her daughter “away from that cursed place”.

Initially, even though she already has a child, Byron takes care of her but then decides to entrust him to the woman's distant relatives, not knowing that after a few years they’ll leave the girl in an orphanage, as they understand that Faker will never be interested in her (and therefore will not be able to provide any useful support).

The first hint of her powers comes by accident: a warm, glowing energy is suddenly released from her hands one day while trying to heal an injured kitten, and from that moment on, the little girl’ll initially try to hide her power. Amira develops several skills, including sewing, and at the age of six, she meets for the first time the person who introduces himself as an "her mother’s old friend": Byron gives her a gift — a duel disk and a deck made especially for her — although he doesn't reveal who gave it to her, she gives him a child-sized scarf in return, apologizing because she knows that "it’s too small for him.”

Byron is the ray of light in the darkness of Amira's past.

From that moment on, a bond seems to develop with Byron, who visits her repeatedly, bringing her small gifts.

Meanwhile, Amira grows up and, At the age of ten, thanks to the man who acts as her "temporary guardian", she enters a dueling tournament, placing first in the regional championships, and winning them. It’s here that Amira meets Thomas, Byron’s middlechild, who looks at her in amazement at her strategic way of doing things.

«When I'll be a champion like you, we'll duel each other... okay? »

A promise that perhaps will not take long to come true, even if not as they had expected.

𓆩 ✧ 𓆪 [Heartland, years later] 𓆩 ✧ 𓆪

Faker, having learned of the young Amira's powers and now corrupted by his intentions, calls the girl back to him without giving her any explanation about their relationship: just like Kaito, she’ll become one of his puppets and also, her healing power seems to come into play more when subjected to minimal stress, such as the critical situation of his youngest son.

Amira then officially becomes part of the "Medical Team" that deals with Haruto's crises by restoring his life energy and, in the meantime, Kaito's assistant: If he bonds immediately with the child, he faces difficult moments with Kaito and when she actually manages to hold her own during an hunt for a Number, Kaito deems her worthy of his attention, giving her a device that can transform her excessive energy into “Photon-looking” wings.

«If you really have to follow me like He asked us to, at least you can move faster.»

In addition to being useful in healing Haruto and recovering the Numbers, Amira becomes fundamental in maintaining Kaito's strength, due to the compatibility of her power with the Photon Change.

Amira also manages to see Astral immediately - probably due to the origin of her power - and to perceive the exact presence of the Numbers, which will make her less of a "burden" in the boy's eyes.

𓆩 ✧ 𓆪 [World Duel Carnival] 𓆩 ✧ 𓆪

Faker has a project for her too in the World Duel Championship, Amira participates and qualifies without any problem after only one day: here she finds Astral and Yuma again and Astral finally manages to get a few words out of her mouth about herself. During her last duel, IV appears and, after observing in silence, immediately begins to tease her, creating a tense situation that will be abruptly stopped by a call from Kaito. The two will have other opportunities to see each other, with IV slowly becoming more and more insistent on her, until the morning of the WDC Gala where he leaves her a clue in a message:

«If u know what he’s bene hiding from you until now, would you be on his side?»

The straw that broke the camel's back of doubts about her relationship with Dr. Faker.

During the Gala, Amira will be introduced as the “Seraphoton Aurora” revealing to Kaito, Yuma, and Astral her clear dueling abilities since childhood.

The story obviously goes on... but I think I've given it a little too much away...

In the canonical arc of Zexal II Amira’ll have a personality change as well as finally having answers about her acquired powers, her family, she'll focusing on helping Kaito and the others both in the search for the ruins and in the battle against the Barians. Of course, there will be no shortage of intrigue, problems and much more.

(Let's admit we all want to see her insult Kaito in the duel on the Moon, after all she's done for him.)

Zexal OCs Week - Day 4

Uh, oh… for @zexalocsweeek today's THAT DAY, we share sore points about relationships… right, Amira?

Shall we start with her family, then?

Amira: Seriously, I don't think that's a good idea.

Amira's relationship with her family members is certainly complicated.

She loses her mother Shiroi Tomiya as a baby and the only memories she has of her are her “Aurora Seraph” card and a photograph that, During the Zexal II arc Tron will show her after telling her that she looks a lot like her, especially when she’s focused on analyzing something (And here Faker will look at Byron with just a hint of jealousy, moreover):

🪶 Looking at that photograph Amira smiled: the woman with long black and green hair in a long white coat was in the center of the photograph, with one of her eyes closed in an almost funny expression, by her side were Byron and Faker, on her right and left respectively; Byron was clearly trying to ruffle her hair and perhaps that was why her face was contorted in a grimace, His father, on the other hand, seemed almost his usual self, although upon closer inspection he too seemed to have a grimace on his face, or rather a smile. They were decidedly younger, and in one corner there was a note in neat, rounded handwriting: “Day 1 - Astral Engine Project” 🪶

So let's talk about Faker, her father: did he ever love little Amira?

In reality he never hated her but he never forgave himself for involving Shiroi in the accident that cost her life. So, he becomes distant towards the little girl and then well… what we know what happens.

But I'll let you read an exchange where his true self emerges:

🪶[...] «It's for a little girl who shouldn't have to grow up alone in a world where even her father is a coward.»

«So there's still a heart in there, amidst calculations, suppositions, and a pinch of madness» Byron whispered, proud of his colleague's gesture: yes, she too would have been proud of Faker, he was sure of it. «Will you deliver it to her?»

«I can't.» he whispered. «But I want you to do it. Shiori trusted you enough to tell you who she would entrust her to after our umpteenth argument. I can't touch the child, not after having hurt her mother.»

«Faker… are you sure you’re not being too hard on yourself?» 🪶

During the girl's return to Heartland and his first real meeting with Amira, Faker's unconscious is stirred, seeing her almost as a ghost, but due to the control of "We Know Who" (VECTAAAAAH) she remains only a reflection of him.

Considering the entire period preceding the WDC, we can say that the parent-child ratio is equal to 0: when asked, she reports updates on Haruto's condition, and often, Haruto ends up getting involved in her experiments, driving her completely to the limit. For Faker she is totally his precious instrument except for one moment, in which he seems to return to himself: Tron rages as he duels her (yep Haruto, then Amira, then Kaito… well, Tron had fun with the whole family) revealing her father's identity (confirming the suspicion she had already given her IV days earlier) and, after defeating her, he doesn't hesitate to attack her over and over again. “You don't care about her just like you didn't care about her mother 18 years ago, right, Faker?” forcing the man to beg him to stop.

Now it's Kaito's turn, eh? We could stay here for hours, so I'll keep it short:

with Kaito initially she has a very respectful relationship and even though she initially appears detached, it takes just a few months and a little intervention from little Haruto to change their relationship. Kaito starts to be more accepting of her when she shows him that she can handle herself of course, but in reality he cares about her as much as she does. But Kaito has a personality all his own and she knows it, in fact she happens to contain his Photon Change… while the boy collapses in the laboratory from exhaustion. During the WDC, after Haruto's kidnapping, Kaito gets even closer to Amira more by instinct than anything else and during the Gala he even ends up pulling her away from the gazes that are too focused on her (yes, especially IV’s). From the moment she discovers their relationship, she will slowly begin to open up more and become almost accomplices in everything with a simple look, which will come in very handy in the Zexal II arc, where she will be seen lending him a hand several times.

Finally, little Haruto.

With Haruto Amira has an immediate and very particular affinity, the child feels safe with her and he slowly starts calling her “Big Sis Amira” even though he doesn’t know the truth, making her feel “at home”. For her part, Amira is very protective with him both before and when she discovers that he is her stepbrother, before knowing about their blood bond, she challenges V to a duel just to try to stop him from suffering, trying to interrupt Tron's ritual after having landed in the middle of it. (V also refuses, seeing the girl injured by the treatments he gave to the two Tenjo brothers, using his power on her to make her collapse after a heated discussion).

Regarding friends and rivals, Amira is not someone who tends to make many friends, also because her work with Kaito would not allow it for the entire first arc.

As rivals, let's say Droite, but for the simple reason that he considers her "too involved" with Kaito; Tron, but the reason will be obvious and IV… yes, especially during the first season the two tease each other a bit too much, he knows parts of her that she hides, she knows something about him that she could use as a little blade. In short, the duel solves everything, even if afterwards... *coughs*

During Zexal II, however, she becomes particularly attached to Rio, partly because she understands her situation as a "little sister", and partly because the girl reminds her in part of herself when she was younger.

Other people she has ties to are obviously Astral (“people” okay) who helps her understand the origins of her curative, indeed Astral powers, and then V and III: with the first one in particular she collaborates even in a distant way.

So we need to talk about that sudden cough from earlier.

Yes, she'll be in love with someone.

Absurdly, Amira will start to feel something for IV and it is a very twisted feeling, rivalry and love, moreover reciprocated by the boy, due to their families, their duties as sons, to the feeling of revenge… although Amira is not primarily involved in it, the instinct to protect Kaito and Haruto will put her on Faker's side and therefore against him.

At every meeting, a dangerous spark: subtle and sharp jokes, almost possessive gestures. IV considers her as his “Nightfire beauty”, he often attacks her by calling her with the nickname he gave her years before and when he is near her it is impossible not to end up in some little dangerous game; Amira, for her part, doesn't keep him at arm's length but challenges him in return, as if she were aware that this might annoy not him directly, but those around him (his family). In short, even though she is aware of her feelings, she plays along with the game that IV plays at every meeting they have.

After the end of the WDC, IV'll stay in contact with her and, in fact, will have the opportunity to return to visit her all too often (and here Kaito is very happy, can you see it? He's really jumping for joy.) creating a more stable and less turbulent relationship with her, while still maintaining the right spice... and for the future... actually there's already something about this too... but I'll keep you waiting (tomorrow maybe?) ~

Zexal OCs week: Day 3

Hi everyone! 🔥

So, for @zexalocsweeek we’re talking about card games today, huh?

Well… Amira’s definitely a fan of duels!

Since she was a child, thanks to a gift from Byron Arclight, she was involved into the world of dueling. At the age of 10, she first became a top competitor in local tournaments and later a "prodigy" champion at the regionals. (And even at her 12 ✨)

At 18, when she arrives in Heartland City, she actually steps away from dueling for a while to support Kaito and Haruto; however, when Kaito asks for her help, she doesn't hesitate… and she’s incredibly skilled.

Archetype and Ace Card:

Her deck features a Photon-Seraphic archetype (created by Dr. Faker), primarily of the Light attribute, designed to harmonize with Kaito’s deck whenever necessary.

Her ace card is "Seraphotonic Angel."

Fun fact: Amira carries a card that she doesn't actually use, which Kaito spots while repairing her old D-pad (also built by Faker twelve years prior). She is deeply attached to this card: "Aurora Seraph" a Ritual Monster that belonged to her mother.

About her D-Gears:

As a child, Amira owned a classic D-Gazer and D-Pad in pearlescent colors (purple and pink). As for her current gear, here is an excerpt directly from the chapter:

🪶 …the base was rhombic with rounded corners, of a light, almost milky color, housing a screen within. When she went to activate it, the surface around the display seemed to glow, creating faint iridescent reflections; two thin small arms opened from the sides, the same color as the pad, and from them, like concentrated light, twin symmetrical wings unfolded, lightly wrapping around the girl’s arm. Her eyes widened slightly as she noticed that each wing was composed of solid light blades, fading from turquoise to purple, passing through emerald green and pale pink, with the field positioned above them.

"The top card of the deck, huh... Aurora Seraph, the only memory of my mother... Kaito, you really are a fool.” For a moment, the girl felt tears welling up in her eyes: he couldn't have known her connection to that card, which was never in her deck—except for that day. 🪶

And also, about her D-Gazer thanks to Kaito she gets a new one:

🪶 it was on her left eye like a tattoo, a delicate design in the shape of a feather of golden light.🪶

YIPPIE YAY IM DOING ANOTHER ZEXAL THING

zexal oc week and wynn is. technically a zexal oc if you ignore the 5ds elements of him.

This is my boy Wynn Izayoi-Fudo! He's a psychic duelist from the streets of new domino and- hey wait isnt he supposed to be a zexal oc

Yes. yes he still is. He moved to Heartland to help out Kaito with his number hunting- the two having been online friends before the madness started. He uses Synchro monsters and he's not as good as his parents or uncles, but due to people in Heartland not being familiar with Synchro summoning, and his psychic dueling, he's strong as fuck.

He's 19- a few months older than Kaito- and on Faker's payroll to "Help Heartland in times of Crisis", which, when not in crisis, means "I'm being paid to date Kaito and help look after Haruto."

But during the number hunting he actually helps Yuma because Wynn hates what Faker and Mr. Heartland did to Kaito and thought "hey maybe this kid who's the owner of the key kite seems invested in can help". He still puts Shark in the hospital from injuries sustained from their dueling but its just a bruised rib he'll survive.

also very fun fact. he and kaito know each other's decks well enough that they are just as fluent with the others as they are their own. This allows for them to be stupidly good in tag team duels- and for Wynn to join the duel against Don Thousand using Kaito's deck. because cringe is dead im going to be as self indulgent with my boy wynn as i want.

anyways. wynn and kaito are t4t. fight me. theyre two trans men in love.

ZEXAL OCS WEEK - DAY 5

Today we're talking about the past and the future... For @zexalocsweeek

So, let's talk in particular about Amira's future projects ~

As I mentioned in previous tasks, a lot of things change when Amira discovers her family's origins: she reconnects with her family, even if sometimes with difficulty, and she dedicates herself to her brothers...

…But she also rediscovers the love that she thought she couldn't receive, thanks to IV.

After the ending, in fact, Amira accepts Byron and Faker's proposal to resume her studies and focus on the "scientific world" but, although they both think she will take up the field of research that her mother took up, well, she will devote herself to medicine.

Haruto’s now well — certainly better than before — and Kaito no longer has to deal with the consequences of the Photon Hand but that something innate in her becomes something she wants to put at the service of others: she wants to become a doctor.

Amira manages to obtain a scholarship and begins attending medical school, obtaining excellent results in a short time; on the other hand, sees IV resume his “dueling career” as the two grow ever closer; and Kaito returns to work with their father, Byron and V on a special project that they will present to her once she graduates.
