heyy it's been ages since I used this account but recently I've been logging in more because I started watching Huntik in italian on the newfound (for me) official youtube channel and can i just say.. I forgot how much they hinted at Dante and Zhalia's relationship in s2 (also because I forgot most of s2 since Zhalia is not in it much)... in the first few episodes they show Zhalia falling asleep with Dante's coat with complete normalcy, and even halfway through the season -when the mentions of her are few and mainly through the Logosbook- I totally forgot Dante's spiritual retreat when he's worried about his upcoming death his old friend direclty asks who is in his mind and he replies "Zhalia" (not the team in general xd)...or when they visit Lok's family again and his sister tells Sophie not to be jealous of Scarlet and Dante because he "clearly has someone else in his mind"... or even towards the end when in a council meeting they ask Dante what's his plan to find the Bloodspiral and he says "Zhalia" and Montehue jokes that that's not a plan (because he doesn't know she's infiltrated and thinks he's just acting like a lovesick boy).... got me thinking thoughts I might do a recap of s2 moments after all this time

p.d: it also helps because the italian dub gives us some bonus content by putting some verbs in singular (thus referring only to Zhalia) that in other dubs are plural for ex. in the final when he writes in the Logosbook "you won't get rid of me that easily" in english, it can be interpreted in both ways and in italian most of the time they use singular so the message is only for her omg.... anyway I love this series so much

Huntik rambles - zhalia and gareon

these are just. thoughts that i have about huntik and/or hcs. as i said before, i believe zhalia should be the first one to gain powerbond and i think it should happen at the end of s1, when she becomes her true self w the huntik team. when it happens, dante is not at all surprised, because he always knew their bond was different. see: gareon comes out of the amulet naturally if zhalia needs him (is sad, is in danger etc), something not even his caliban does. some of gareon's ability, she can use simply through the amulet. gareon knows what to do without her telling him.

i envision powerbond as a simple shift in the seeker/titan relationship, rather than a change of looks, which frankly is mostly functional visually than practically. so Gareon looks the same. he just gains all the power ups (mental powers, longer invisibility). but the point is, when it happens, zhalia is weirded out because "gareon can do that?" and dante realizes what it is, ie this unique, rare connection he'd never seen before. zhalia low-key spirals because she doesn't believe she should be special. in fact, she thinks she's unworthy and can't quite comprehend how this would happen to her.

regardless, for a long time she's the only one with this power/bond (pun not intended), which makes her uncomfortable in itself because she feels it exposes her, her loneliness and her relationship with Gareon, which is very emotive.

eventually, dante tells her it's not a bad thing at all. it's just a part of her story/who she is, and he loves who she is.

i also think it's him who suggests she should have Januseea the gatekeeper, as she's the most spiritually connected with titans and their world. he's 100% right and zhalia bonds easily with the titan. zhalia is still confused as to how this could be.

(so, i have huntik fics in the works. these are all premises to that.)

It's time to remember about my OCs from the Huntik universe:

🌞Ambra Vale, daughter of Dante and Zhalia Vale, the eldest child in the family.

🌞 Seeker!

🌞 Italian + Dutch by nationality.

🌞Introvert, calm and reserved character. She can be serious and focused, but at times she is nervous and alarmist.

🌞 Intensively studies historical sciences, makes progress in this field. I like the idea of the existence of the Academy of Seekers, which was shown to us in the comics: and Ambra was engaged in various additional tasks and research while studying there, and after graduation she stayed there to teach.

🌞If everything is fine in terms of the mind, but she is absolutely no warrior. She is very badly in fight. She is not type of fighter and warrior. Therefore, on the battlefield, she performs the smart guy who is trying to continue his work under the shots.

🌞Her first titan is Caliban. For the first time, her father gave it to her because he was too afraid for her life. And then he gave it to her almost forever, so that Caliban could protect his daughter constantly. Besides Caliban, her protection is magic that her mother taught her. Ambra's magic abilities turned out to be excellent, and Zhalia taught her (as well as the second child) her dark and mental magic, which the Organization uses. Rarely, but in case of danger, Ambra can use it.

🌞At some point, she started working in a team of seekers with a russian captain at the head (my other OC)

🌞Her name means "amber", and outwardly Ambra is a copy of her father, with his red hair and brown eyes. But Mom's smile. And I liked the consonance with the name "Umbra", but this titan saved her father's life :))

Not sure who would be interested in this, but today I was talking to my RA (Residence Assistant) about Huntik and how much I loved it, and then she asked me where to watch it. I pulled it up on her YouTube, and she subscribed to the channel, so here’s hoping she watches it and enjoys it 👀 I’m bringing Huntik to Japan 😆
