Sometimes I feel sorry for non-Slovene speakers who can’t listen to Zmelkoow and are therefore deprived of such excellent lyrics as: “Sometimes I’m capable of doing important things, but today is not a day for that” featured in Orao pao, and a song called “I’m so sleepy”, the chorus of which is just repeating the words “I’m so sleepy” (Jaz sem tako zaspan).

In Slovenia, we have a legendary song about Batman.

Zmelkoow (Cvetličarna 18.6.2013)

Preden se spravimo k reportažnemu delu, naj namenim nekaj besed "Bežigrad festu", ki ga letos prvič organizira Cvetličarna... En mesec brezplačnih koncertov. Definitivno gesta, ki je vredna navzgor iztegnjenega palca! Kolektiv Cvetličarne je naredil neverjetno dober program, v katerem se najde praktično za vsak okus nekaj. In to še ni vse... Dogajanje so izza štirih sten preselili na takoimenovani "letni vrt", kjer je vse - klopce za zaljubljence, mize za stoječe, zunanji šank in oder pod streho oz. šotorom. Če bodo naslednje leto nadaljevali s projektom, bodo brez težav zasenčili nekatere konceptualno podobne prireditvene maratone, ki so locirani bližje mestnemu jedru.

Brez nepotrebnega dolgovezenja predskupin so nekaj čez deseto oder zasedli vsem dobro poznani primorski Zmelkoow.

Še enkrat več so dokazali, da imajo močno bazo oboževalcev, saj je bil koncertni prostor zaseden do zadnjega kotička. Z nizanjem hitov oz. vsem poznanih pesmi so razvneli publiko, ki je poplesavala na svojevrsten način skozi celoten koncert. Zmelkoow se zavedajo, kako pomembna je komunikacija z občinstvom, zato nam niso ušle kratke šale in anekdote med pesmimi.

Zmelkoow so v dveh urah koncerta publiki ponudli po kar je prišla - skupaj smo ujeli bit, dali čivavo na stražo in problemom povedali, kje je njihovo mesto. Uradni del koncerta so zaključili z (med študentsko populacijo) ponarodelo "Več kot spijemo..."

Seveda, pa so jih vzkliki "we want more" potegnili na oder še za bis, ki je bil baladen.
