A ZOEYRPH MASTERLIST OF AGES OF CONSENT (LEGAL AGE TO WRITE SMUT) IN EACH STATE OF THE U.S.

Lately, there's been a lot of talk about ages of consent and how old you have to be in order to be able to write smut. I thought it'd be helpful to compile a quick list of the age where you're home free to do anything sex-related in your respective states with anyone you want over this given age. And well, if you can have sex, why can't you write about it? Remember, each state has exceptions, or no exceptions, meaning you can write with people younger than these ages, but they vary from each state and some don't have exceptions, so if you want specifics everything came from here so you can check it out.

I just found out it's illegal to write smut with anyone under 18 if you're 18+ since it's classified as child pornography. I wasn't aware of this earlier since in China, which is where I live and was raised, you're free to do as you please if you're over the age of consent, and your partner is over the age of consent. I thought that this would apply all over the world, but it's actually different so be aware of who you're writing with.

Remember that you can technically write smut whenever you want at any age, but that's if you're writing on your own. Once you bring another person into the picture, there's a lot of other factors you have to consider.
