Been reminiscing on old Vocaloid, I’m not going to hate on the people who just found out about Vocaloid through Miku and Teto. It’s exciting! And fun to get into new things! So why would I hate on that??

I’ve been into Vocaloid since I was pretty young, I specifically found it around 2015-2016 and got into all the songs I could (specifically those kinda scary ones I definitely shouldn’t have been watching at that age.)

But there’s been a trend where you insert an oc into classic Vocaloid cover art.

And though this isn’t the cover art for Fear Garden- it’s one of my favorite screenshots from the music video and it was very fitting for Zombabe.

So here’s the lineart I finished last night <3

arcane & occult lore bookmark + books

okay this one is a little hard to match books to, because while there's a reasonable amount of eldritch/cosmic horror out there, they don't often have green/black + tentacles aesthetic, or necessarily fit the exact vibe of eldritch I have here....so here's just a couple that kinda fit

The Worm & His Kings - cosmic horror novella set in 90s NYC about a trans woman who goes into the abandoned subway tunnels to find her girlfriend who’s disappeared, and discovers a weird underground cult to an eldritch god

Zombabe & Babylove trilogy - queer paranormal YA with some weird demonic & zombie stuff going on in a small town in 2003

Innsmouth Legacy - historical fantasy duology set in the 1940s, reimagining cthulu mythos, about a woman and her brother who are the last of the Deep Ones rebuilding their culture

Monstress - a detailed epic dark fantasy comic series about a girl semi-possessed by a tentacley demonic creature

Tiger Tiger - a queer piratey fantasy comic that doesn't entirely fit the vibe but i love it and have a copy and it has an eldritch sea god :)
